A close knit group of campers with some security. The river is dirty and shallow like a creek, mostly drunk tards on tubes.

The tubing was great, the camping was ok. Port o John's were clean, the sites were in good shape. But the wood they sold us wouldn't lite, we used ever trick in the book including lighter fluid. This stuff just wouldn't catch, even I went to ask them what they could do about it they at like they didn't give a damn. The lady at the counter even said they know their wood is not easy to burn. We spent $50 dollars on wood and all they said is I could buy more. All in all not bad but definitely not good either.

Always a pleasure to visit the river, Omer is a slice of Heaven. Great team, friggidy fresh Michael and Luke with the pink shorts are a treat, very kind and helpful in guiding our family safely out on our canoe trip, a pleasant experience. 11/10.

We stayed at this campground just this past weekend and will not be staying there again.Pros: Campsites are level with adequate space for parking or multiple tents. Cons: For the cost per night/per person, I would expect nicer amenities. There is only one bathhouse, which is located near the front of the campground. The tent sites are located nearly half a mile away, and they do not allow you to drive vehicles after 11pm so hopefully you do not need to take a shower or use a real restroom in the evening. The only near option is a porta-potty that all of the tent sites share. You pay for an electric site, but are also required to pay an additional $20 deposit to obtain an adapter because the electric box has only RV outlets; this was something they didn't tell us and we only found out when we were setting up and discovered we didn't know what to do about the electricity. They are VERY strict about not bringing outside firewood in, but the cost of wood at the campground is so expensive! It is $25 per "row," which we bought two of totaling roughly 20 pieces of wood. Unfortunately, the pieces of wood we received were both green and damp, so they did not burn easily. We brought our own kayaks with the intention of dropping them off up river and pulling them out when we floated to the campground location. I asked the front desk if that would be alright to which I was very rudely spoken to saying "if everyone did what you want to do, we wouldn't make any money and we'd have to shut down our campground. You need to pay $20 to get off on our property." Meanwhile, busses were running constantly filled with people paying $20+ for rentals, clearly supporting their livery. We ended up just launching our kayaks where the busses unloaded and then floated to the public access where we had parked another vehicle to drive back. We will not come back to this campground. Aside from the one woman who checked us in on Friday, we did not encounter a single staff member that was friendly. This place had so many rules and everything felt like a money-grab. Afterwards, I reviewed pricing at Russel's (also on the River) and it is quite a bit cheaper. You could also camp off the river for less and drop your personal equipment in the river at the public access locations.

Literally my all time favorite campsite! I go every year! the staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome! The river trip is a blast! I have never had any issues here for the 6 years I've been going! family friendly, young adult friendly, and pet friendly. bathrooms are always clean. The sites are very nice as well.

The staff are absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. One staff member in particular went out of his way to assist us guests. Lead Teagen, amiss the end of shift, went above in beyond in handling our unique predicament. We could tell that he was very busy with his various roles but he set aside the time to personally address our issue. He saved our experience, and we are grateful for encountering such a considerate and standout person!

Great time as always. Clean campground, affordable rates and just an overall enjoyable getaway. Only issue was some campers didn't abide by the quiet time rules, playing music and talking loud until after 2 in the morning. But the place is family and pet friendly and the tubing trip was a blast. Looking forward for our next trip down the Rifle River

We looked into riverside camps that had canoeing and tubers. We are planning our wedding/elope camp slash reception. We found this place and they have everything we need. Pavilion and playground, horseshoes and camp sites directly on the river. 30 Amp services are available and water for the rv and the primitive site's. They drive you up river and the float back to the camp was 4 hours and were going to take a bunch of site's and have a great time. ?

Mary at the front office has been my friend for the last two weeks trying to connect with her regarding tubing down the river. When I walked into the office, I felt like we had known each other forever. Ironically, her campsite is right next to ours and I really hope that we can hang out.
