Pat's Foods IGA is the only grocery store in town and for a wide rural area. It is a family-run business that prides itself on being customer-oriented. The store is always clean and the staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Selection is considered adequate for a small town, though some wish for more organic or local options. Reviews note that prices are often higher compared to big box stores or larger cities, with some items being significantly more expensive. However, other customers find the offerings fairly priced for the convenience and service, especially given the lack of local competition. It is seen as a reliable and necessary stop for the community and travelers.
Fast and friendly service, a very welcoming staff. The deli fried chicken breast and pasty is amazing! Clean bathroom. Awesome!

I love this store! Clean, organized layout, very friendly employees - and with a whole range of foodstuffs - including gf and low carb. This is my go-to store when we're in Ontonagon. Two thumbs up!

Everything was very expensive compared to other places in the UP. It was no surprise since we're out in the middle of nowhere and had no real competition. (Eggs were $4.59/dozen... not "special" eggs, such as cage free or organic.) Selection of items was adequate.
