junk do not workout here, sauna broken for 3 months. no towels. missing a 70lb dumbbell and 75 pound curl bar. half the leg machines are broken. closes @9 oclock in 2024 when covid was 4 years ago and still operating on this schedule. has a basketball court but all the basketballs are ripped to shreds, what kind of gym cant afford new basketballs? steam room dirty. save your money and go to the planet fitness where they know how to run a competent gym.

Good variety of machines, cardio equipment, free weights, kettle bells, and various areas to accommodate just about any type of workout.

It’s a very nice gym. I used to go to this gym when I was younger as well and I just recently got a membership but it looks like they are still operating on Covid hours for some stupid reason. There is absolutely no reason why it should close at 9 o’clock on the weekdays in as early as 8 o’clock on the weekends… it’s not even dark by then… and to pay $72 a month for that makes little to no sense. Minimum the gym should be open until 1030 or 11. Also, the steam room seems to be very dirty sometimes with lots of sludge on the ground. And kind of smells moldy in there as well but honestly, I would give it 4 1/2 stars if they would keep the damn thing open long enough for me to go there. I heard there may be new owners. Hopefully they keep the gym open longer if they purchase.Edit 12/31/2023 - the men's sauna has been broken for over 3 months. Every time they get someone in there to fix it it heats up to like 70 degrees then it breaks again.

I love the warm, gradual entry pool! They also have a lap pool. Steam & dry sauna after is a plus!Wednesday night yoga with Steve Guth is so relaxing.

Currently writing a this review in the now broken men’s steam room.I often will come to this gym to just sit in the sauna because I have a very stressful work life and that’s why I pay 71$ dollars a month for this gym.The sauna has been broken for about 3 weeks now and now the steam room is broken.Funny I signed up for a year long plan.I WILL BE CANCELING THE MEMBERSHIP AND CHARGING BACK MY CREDIT CARD IF ITS NOT FIXED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.I guess I might have to make the drive to Rochester for lifetime…I wish they would just sell this place already to a company that gives 2 craps about it.GLAC has gone downhill hard

I've gone here for quite some years with a hiatus during covid and things have surely changed. I switched back from Planet Fitness because I couldn't stand the crowds and I wanted the option of the pool. While I do enjoy less crowds and being able to comfortably work out, the pool hours are lackluster. Also can't attend the yoga classes while working two jobs due to very few available classes. Always loved the facility and hope it gets better soon!

Well, I didn't work out. I ate. ? Food was great. Some flatbread and a dragon fruit drink. Awesomeness. Ladies at the counter were awesome. Friendly and talkative. Helpful in every way. Thank you for a great experience.

This place is a shadow of what it once was. Very sad to see.Years ago this place had better hours, better maintained equipment, and fantastic pool availability. It was well staffed and well cared for. Used to be amazing. Not anymore. The pool is almost never open, and only at odd hours of the day. Husband gave a call today to check that the pool was open, was told "yes" and given the hours, showed up at the mentioned hours, only to find it closed. They can't even follow their own restrictive schedule. If you need to find a place to train swimming for a triathlon I suggest finding another pool, this one is not open enough to ensure steady training. There's a Cafe that isn't even run by anyone, just sits there empty and unused.A rock wall sits gathering dust, unused. Not as many options for classes as there used to be.The locker rooms are nowhere near as nice as they were.Seems like hardly anyone is there to maintain or look after the place. This place is spiraling fast. It's a shame to see. I hope they see some improvement but I fear the worst.

Got a week pass since I was in the area for work. Most of the reviews are pretty accurate. I’ve been to many gyms and here’s what I thought of this one.Pros: Tons of different equipment. I don’t think I’ve been to a gym that has the equipment diversity that GLAC has. Nice locker room.Con: No towels due to lack of staff.I enjoyed the experience but if I was going to be a full time member, I would expect to get more for the money.

Glac has gone down hill over the years but prices have increased…. Time to stop blaming Covid. Hours are bad closes to early. Pool hours are all over the place to accommodate there swim classes and closes to early. No towels still? Steam room stinks like mildew. Sauna shuts off at times. Rock wall is never open. Not many workout classes now. Ok my rant is done but surely nothing will change from this.
