Our suite was more amazing than what we anticipated. The view of Lake Huron from our room was stunning. Fantastic innkeeper and staff. All breakfast and desserts were wonderful. Each day we had 3 options for breakfast, all very good. We also could let them know what time we wanted to have it delivered to our room, You won't be disappointed.

Amazing place for a romantic getaway. No kids, no big parties. Right on the beach with beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the hot tub. Evening dessert and breakfast brought to your room. Highly

We were here in February so it was not in its full glory, however it was beautiful even in winter. The Sunrise Suite has a private little deck and private hot tub with lake views. Unfortunately the hot tub above was leaking into ours so we could only sit on one side but it was a compromise for those amazing views. Honestly that was the only frustration of the stay. We were offered the option to use the hot tub by the neighboring room, but the view was nowhere near as amazing so we just sucked it up.Rooms: The room and the views were absolute perfection. The room was pristine with none of that gross stuff you usually see in the corners. It did run a little warm in the room and you have to adjust the heat pretty frequently for it to remain at that temperature due to hold times, but we just cracked some windows and that was perfect. The sheets are to die for and probably some of the softest I've ever laid my head on. Plus there were plenty of pillows to cozy up to.Food & drinks: The breakfast and desserts were hit and miss for me. My quiche was not fully cooked and what I think was supposed to be crème brule was not something i would ever order again. The cinnamon pecan French toast was sweet but very yummy and the carrot cake was pretty delicious. My husband enjoyed his breakfast egg, bacon , and cheese biscuit and really enjoyed his standard breakfast with eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast!Noteworthy details: The bed in this room is definitely on the firm side.

Took my fiancee here for a weekend as a birthday present. Service was impeccable. Rooms were awesome. The trip was excellent and we both enjoyed every weekend. Even driving over 7 hours to arrive, we will come back again some day!Rooms: Spotlessly clean. The floors are more clean than most restaurant dishes. The fireplace and 2 person spa tub were an excellent combination.Nearby activities: Lots of hiking. Lots of sights, including several lighthouses. There are some very nice niche local restaurants in the region as well.

We came up for a quick trip in January. This was our second time staying at the Huron House. Everything was amazing as always. Loved the breakfast and dessert! We have stayed in Moon Shadow and the Huron Room. Both wonderful! Cannot wait until next time! There was a little issue with no hot water, but it was addressed and we were compensated for our troubles. We will be back again!

I wanna go back and stay!!We drove up from Lansing for 3 nights and ended up adding an additional night. The innkeepers, Kristen & David were absolutely accommodating. They assisted us with moving from the Moonshadow room to the Oscoda room. We did this because I wanted a jacuzzi tub due to the high cold winds. They checked in with us in the morning and left us alone for the remainder of the time unless we needed something. The Moonshadow room by far has the best view and privacy. The Oscoda room is best of both worlds in my opinion. You still get the direct view of the lake and an outside uncovered hot tub & in room jacuzzi tub. Be sure to buy some fragrant Epsom salts for the best experience! Our highlights started in the Moonshadow the night before the snow hit and sitting out by the fire, the waffles with bourbon peaches & playing battleship in our room. The hot tub in both rooms do not have coverage which is my favorite so when it snows or rains, it falls directly on you. The Oscoda is set up differently than the other rooms because it offers another sitting room with an additional TV. I had a hard time sitting in there mostly because it blocked the view of the lake. The bathroom was super bougie with a in shower radio that connects to your phone via Bluetooth and allows room for 2 to shower if you’d like. The bed could use a new frame but I’m really not complaining, it was still super comfy! ;-) The linens felt like heaven! We went out a couple nights for dinner. The Hilltop bar had great bar food and a pool table. Then we went to Tawas Pizza Company another night. I highly recommend both! We even took a walk along the snow covered beach one morning. This was much needed time away for both of us. It allowed us to have some time completely to ourselves, which I value a lot.Trust me, it’s worth every penny!! Just reserve the room and go :)

I am in awe by the exemplary experience my husband and I had. We just checked out today(12/29/23) and we left things hanging in the closet(Thanks for finding it, Hanna )David sent a message saying they were already in route back to our home and provided a tracking number. Not only did we have a wonderful experience with everything, David went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Food was wonderful, if you’re gluten intolerant, Chef Jody does an amazing job making delicious treats! This place never disappoints, perfect place for us to have our mini-honeymoon. We adore the entire staff at Huron House! We will see you when the new rooms are open to book!!!! Melissa & Jack Bailey

Our stay at The Huron House was a true delight—a hidden gem on the shores of Lake Huron. The service was exceptional, from the warm check-in with the innkeeper to the thoughtful details in our room.We had stunning views of both the lake and the center courtyard, with inviting fire pits. Walking along the beach, enjoying the golden sunrise, and relaxing in front of the in-room fireplace made our stay truly special. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offered vegan breakfasts and desserts. Extra points for being innovative AND delicious. This is a great destination for anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty, even in mid-November! Nearby hiking trails and charming towns worth exploring added to the appeal. Can’t wait to return in the spring!
