I must say I’m a little shocked at the customer service or lack there of by the manager Tonya at this post office. We have tried to drop off mailers to the Ovid community as we have done at many other communities. Places like St. John’s, Okemos, Bath, Haslett, and Laingsburg, and we had no problems at all. We pay for the mailers online, the postage is paid for, we take all the necessary paperwork and receipt of purchase as instructed online to USPS and have never encountered a problem, until Tonya at the Ovid post office.
My one staff member complained to the USPS postmaster and she was then met with a phone call from Tonya the next day that was extremely rude. This should not be a part of any post office and this manager should be reprimanded by her superior and instructed to take a continued education course in how to properly treat patrons of the post office, or resign. For such a cute little community where people look for help and service at their post office, this does not leave a good impression.

The only time I actually go into this post office is when I am mailing something over seas for my fiancé in the military. And because the mail is going international I need to fill out a customs form with each package. which then means the postal workers have to do more work and hand type the address into the computer and print out some extra papers. EVERY TIME I have had the same negative experience when the employee complains I am making them do more work and they don't want to ship my package. its just disappointing that they make me leave feeling like I've wasted their time and inconvenienced them

April 28 2021 around 4:10- 4:20 pm Shoutout to the employee name "BRITNEY" of the Okemos post office. You are super riude and disrespectful to your customers. I have never been so disrespected. Do not take your anger out on your customers. If asking a single question about a product makes you so angry, then you shouldn't be working customer service. You also need to learn to be nice to your co workers and treat them with respect.

Easily the best post office in the Lansing area! Super friendly and always a short wait time. I always go here instead of other post offices to ship out at the kiosk or at the desk internationally. Don't waste your time anywhere else :)

Crazy how USPS has such terrible customer service compared to FedEx and UPS. Especially this place. If you can avoid this USPS, do it, it'll make your day much better. They are very rude and not helpful.
