My mother in law booked appts for my daughter and I to get mani/pedis done. When we walked in there was no warm greeting. In fact there was never any welcoming feeling at all. My daughter is 12, we had to have our appts one after the other because they don't have staff, I understand that. So I sat in my car for an hour. Then it was my turn so we switched and she sat in the car for my appt. I tried to have some sort of conversation with the nail tech but she wasn't interested in being friendly. The service she performed was mediocre. My feet are fairly soft with the exception of rough spots on the outside of my big toes. So one spot on each of my bit toes. The rough spots are stiff there, the "massage" never went higher than my ankle and felt more like a tickle rub vs a massage. I also was told by my mother in law that the appt was made for both mani and pedi but we were told we were done after the pedicures. I didn't set it up the appt so we just left. $90 for 2 mediocre pedicures and I still need to give my toes some attention. I assumed this place was amazing since it's in a beautiful historic building and has been in business for years.. but that's not the case. We will not ever be returning. There are many other spas and nail salons where they are happy to have you as a customer and actually do an amazing job for way less than what we spent here. Thankfully we had gift certificates or I would have been very upset at the services performed. I'm rating this place at a 2 because the building, massage chair and heated table you lay on were nice. The paint job was decent as well but there was no scrub, or anything. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, you'll get better service at Le Nails done the road.

So I have been to Sophia to get my facials twice now. The first time I was so relaxed that I fell asleep, the second time I was a little more pressed for time. The facial itself was so nice!!! It is a little pricey, but I can't expect a cheap facial honestly.

My mom went to get a gel mani-pedi for her birthday. She came home 2 and a half hours later with nail polish all over her hands and feet and stained cuticles. There was not one finger not covered in polish. The woman doing her nails was "in a rush" but still took almost 3 hours to make her nails look like a 5 year old did them, probably worse. I do not recommend!

This is my favorite place to go to for a pedicure and/or massage. If I could afford them more frequently, I'd be there all the time.

I hadn't heard the best things about this place but, my husband got me a gift card for Christmas & was bugging me to use it! It's very beautiful inside & I was greeted warmly by the receptionist. She was very nice. I scheduled a European pedicure & reflexology..... The nail lady was not very friendly at all!! I use a rollator to assist with my walking & had a hard time getting up on the bed. I have MS & I have difficulty with some things. She seemed irritated with me & made me feel bad. The Reflexology lady was nicer but, I won't be back.

I am 7 months pregnant and I have a 19 month old at home so on my vacation I booked a spa pedicure and a facial so I could have a couple relaxing hours to myself. Once I arrived, the receptionist was not very friendly or welcoming at all. But the lady who was doing my pedicure came out to get me and she had a pleasant demeanor and brought me back to the private room. About halfway through the service we hear a knock at the door- the receptionist found a problem with gift certificates I had and proceeded to question me as I was LAYING on the massage table. After engaging in a conversation with her, my massage was continued followed by the rest of the pedicure but I was so upset because I was trying to relax and it left me fuming the rest of the service. When I was done I walked to the receptionist area and was told they would not honor the certificates so I ended up paying out of pocket. I could not believe how unprofessional it was to completely interrupt the service instead of waiting until I was finished to approach the issue. I attempted to speak to the owner about the experience I had received and after waiting a week he finally called me but was so focused on the certificates instead of why I truly wanted to speak to him which was about the way I was treated during the spa service. A service that they describe on their website “Our clients have stated that the ambiance, professionalism, and personal touches have truly enhanced their spa experience†His professional responses included: “what do you want me to do, fire her?†“If you're in such a tizzy from her interrupting the service I don't know how to help you†and my favorite “what exactly do you want from me?†to which I replied that the only thing I was looking for was an apology over the entire matter. Although my review of his business doesn't matter as he told me that he has been in business for 19 years and it didn't care if I let my friends and family know how I was treated.
