Tahquamenon Falls State Park is a wonderful place to visit with both Upper and Lower Falls. The Lower Falls is easily accessible and visitors can get closer to them. Great walking paths and a river trail provide beautiful views, photo opportunities, and a nice shady hike. The trails are well-maintained with bench seats along the way. A visit includes access to a small island and the possibility of lunch at the upper falls. The platform at the Upper Falls was closed for repairs, but new construction is underway. It is a great outdoors Michigan experience with a gift shop.
Beautiful waterfall with a short, easily accessible trail. There is a gift shop, restaurant, bbq food truck, and ice cream shop on site. Make sure to visit the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum while in the area!

So nice! Both the upper and lower falls are so beautiful. It is definitely worth the visit. The upper falls is a little more of a walk, but taking your time it is worth it. The new boardwalk out to the upper was fabulous but the weather was very warm and there were so many people we didn't get to go out on it this time.
