Wow! The Gull is back! I almost hate to post this in fear we will have a wait if word gets out. Breakfast was perfect, food came out hot and exactly how we asked (pancake with raspberry jam was to die for), bacon and hash browns were crispy as we requested, and sourdough toast was like a dessert. Service with a smile, which is so hard to come by these days. Ask for Holly, she’s AMAZING!! Bloody Mary’s paired perfectly with the view of Pentwater Lake and the marina! Don’t pass by, come in and give it a try. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 9a-8p Thursday, Friday, Sat, Sun for off season through Dec.

Last night my wife and I ate here for the first time. We were seated at a nice table on the patio. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was fried perfectly and was excellent. For our entrees my wife had the salmon and I had the walleye special with an artichoke topping. Again both were excellent and and cooked perfectly. Our server Jamie, was very attentive and friendly. We vacation in Ludington for the summer and this is one of the best meals we have had all season. My only suggestion is to have something chocolate for dessert.

Great food and great atmosphere. Our server was Sammy and she was super helpful and very on top of the table. She suggested the Lemon Zest Chicken and I’m so glad she did because it was really really good. I could tell the chef is passionate about their work. The lemon zest was perfect. Thank you so much. See you next time.

Omelets were delicious. Cinnamon bread was a treat. Coffee was great. Service was perfect. Sometimes it's the little things like a warm plate that keeps your meal warm until the end.

Came in this evening with my daughter and her fiance and my husband. Haven't been in since the new owners have taken over. First off, the menus we were given were just laminated paper and mine the ink had run out so some was off in color and hard to read. An additional laminated paper for appitzers and salads. For the prices they are charging us one would expect a normal menu. I was a little surprised at the prices. We had the mushroom ravioli which my daughter did like but, like 5 or 6 raviolis and a bread stick for 26$? i had a red pepper pasta with chicken and it was ok. 25$ for that and my husband had the Thai pasta and was pretty good and then we had a club. Food wasn't bad but, nothing special and for the price alone I won't come back. Our server couldn't have been in a bigger hurry to get us out. We were clearly all still eating and Andew is bringing our checks which barley fit on the tiny table we were at. What if we wanted another drink?? our server had clearly gone out for a smoke and smelled so bad when returning to our table. The one thing that was good was the spinach artichoke dip. we all enjoyed it but, again, a super small cup for 15$. We are foodies and will pay whatever for good food. Just think you should re-think your prices for the atmosphere, menus, table service, and un trained servers.Wish you well but, even as locals, we won't be returning. We have enjoyed countless meals here in the past fyi. left here with 96$ bill for 2 of us and all i can say is I wouldn't recommend anyone eat here. disappointed for sure!!

We had 6 people in our party and decided to go to the Gull on Monday around 4 pm. Once seated we were given menus and the bartender proceeded to chat with us but never offered a drink or water. Two staff wait members stood behind the bar and never came over. After sitting there for 20 minutes we decided to leave. We've been to the Gull for years and usually had a nice time. After this last disappointing visit we will not be back nor will we recommend it to anyone.

This place was excellent. Cashew crusted walleye was amazing along with the baked acorn squash and cocktails. Thomas, our server was great too. This was the best dining experience we have had yet on our 2 week trip in michigan. The patio and sun helped too.

We came here as a family with a group of 11 of which 6 were young kids between 2-8. The hostess tried to sit us at a table for 8, insistenting that she would put chairs on the end of the tables to fit 11. At best this made the table a 10 top. When we requested they move some tables together to enable us to have enough seats for our 11 person group the manager was incredibly rude and said ‘we don’t move tables’. When I repeated our situation and said that a table for 8 would not work, nor would their solution to split us apart because of how many young children we have he again said nothing but a direct ‘we don’t move tables’. I have never experienced someone being so rude. The restaurant was not busy at all as we arrived at 5pm. If they had simply said we can’t accommodate a party your size it would have been frustrating but not nearly as frustrating as being spoke to the way he did. I would never recommend supporting a restaurant that treats people this way. Sadly there are so few options at the end of the season in this area it feels like he thinks it’s ok to treat people like this.

Sat down for breakfast, took 15 minutes just to get drinks. Then food took an hour and 15 minutes. American fries has hair in the plate, food was sort of cold. Terrible service overall. Do not recommend.

Updating my review. Give a poor review and the owner attacks you and tells you to go somewhere else. Absolutely horrible.New ownership good luck. Horrible drinks, food quality dropping. I have eaten here hundreds of times over last 20 years. Defended you till now. Even defended you when your guests were complaining loudly on the deck this and last year. I will wait hours for food with good drinks and good service which continually decline!!Don't eat here. Eat at The Antler, Clutches, Village Pub, or The Brown Bear. Somewhere that cares what you think.

Long wait for food. I got the chicken club with fries. It was so, so bland. No seasoning. The avocado tasted off and the chicken was extremely dry. Hard and hard to swallow. The fries tasted old. Even the water tasted bad. The prices of the items were very expensive, too. The waitress was very nice, though. We won't be back.

Stopped here for dinner and live music. Rather a long wait to get in. We liked the outdoor seating, and the band playing that day was good. Food was decent for the most part, with the exception of the clams appetiser, which nobody liked. The mushroom ravioli was quite good. Service was friendly, but on the slow side.

One of our favorite places to eat in Pentwater before covid. Unfortunately, the menu is now limited and service is very slow. Of all the restaurants we visited during our stay, we had the slowest and least attentive service at Gull Landing. I know times are tough, the quality and service didn’t warrant the price we paid.

I read other reviews that were not so good but our experience was really good. First time customer here. Busy place on a weekday and the staff was working hard. Lots of people there soaking up sun and having a good time. Food was good, location excellent and the staff did all they could to make our visit pleasant. Cannot ask for a better deal than that. Hope to go back again and again.
