“Wonderful store with delightful selection of merchandise. Found just what I wanted in their large array of petoskey stones and jewelry. Great service too! Highly recommend.”
“I walked into this shop.. to contemplate a divorce. Walked out a changed woman. Flora Bae Home is brimmed abundantly full of earthy and worldly items, beautifully curated by the one and only Natalie Bae Lauzon. Don’t forget the friendly atmosphere of her staff to boot. Went to a summer event she hosted 6 months later for a free book signing, sips, and snacks. This is an all around magical must stop for gifts, home decor, and inspiration.✨✨✨might even get the courage to leave your spouse and pursue and art/design career — who knows…”

“Stopped in and was amazed by the wide selection of art, jewelry, clothes and michigsn made soaps, etc. We didn't buy anything but I'm sure lots of other people would appreciate this store.”
“One of my favorite stores to visit in Petoskey! So many lovely items and a kind and helpful staff. I discovered a quality issue with a product I bought a few weeks ago and was so pleased with the kindness from the employees when I brought it to their attention. I had a swift and satisfactory resolution. The top- notch customer service is so appreciated! Thank you.”
“Absolutely loved our visit to Grandpa Shorter’s! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Pam, the wonderful lady we spoke with, truly made our experience unforgettable. She was incredibly pleasant, informative, and clearly passionate about the store and the local area.
The shop itself is full of charm and character, with so many unique and interesting items to explore. We especially loved seeing the Petoskey stones—what a cool touch of Michigan’s natural beauty! Pam even went above and beyond by giving us helpful tips on how to find our own Petoskey stones at a nearby park. That kind of personal touch is rare these days and really meant a lot to us.
If you're in the area, do not miss Grandpa Shorter’s. It’s more than just a gift store—it’s a slice of local magic, made even better by people like Pam. We’ll definitely be back!”
“Justin was so helpful when we found issues with the gifts we purchased. You can only get this kind of service from local business owners who value their customers!”
“Love Sturgeon River Pottery. We typically spend $50-$100 per yearly visit. I think we recently topped that in our visit. Love the new Grouchy Guy line. Very cute and funny. The selection and rotation of items is excellent. Definitely the best shop in the Petoskey area.”
