Great company: great owners and staff!! We had a complex and very high end project with a lot of home goods that included all the furnishing, art to the smallest of houseware: They keep extremally good record with BOL reports, opened and reviewed all items for concealed damages and helped with returns to and exchanges to suppliers. The set up and delivery was fantastic including building of a lot of product that required assembly!

We've worked with this company for a few years now doing several challenging, large moves. I highly recommend them. They are great communicators, experienced and punctual. The owners are typically always on the jobsite but their crew is excellent too.

With approximately one week before our move Petoskey Moving Company ghosted me and my family. They had agreed on the date, had come to the home for a visual estimate, and confirmed multiple times we were on the schedule for the move. ~7 days prior, they stopped responding to all communications and left us to fend for ourselves.Don't worry, Petoskey Moving Company, we managed to move our entire family with two small children in tow by literally begging friends to help and by the kind people at Two Men and a Truck who came to our rescue with the few hours they had available.I don't have strong enough words to articulate the lack of professionalism and respect demonstrated by Petoskey Moving Company. Now please excuse me while I go back to icing my back, arms, and hands from the aftermath of being left completely out to dry by a "professional" moving company.

Don't waste your time. After visual survey, I never heard from them again. During visual survey, Chris was not friendly, very distant acting and did not appear to want the job. Barely answering yes/no questions. I had even told him I preferred to do business locally, maybe he thought he already had the job. Needless to say I have found another company who moved me, amazing office staff to the movers themselves. So unfortunately they get a 1 rating.

Don't waste your time. I had a visual tour set up, Chris called one hour before arriving, stating he needed to reschedule, no reason why. When he did arrive, very cold, aloof and distant. It has been a week today and I still have not received a estimate and they are not even answering the phone. Moving is stressful enough without this, needless to say I have found another company to move me. I had other companies come and give a quote, I received their quote within 4 hours of them completing the visual survey. I am very disappointed, I even told Chris I preferred to do my business locally. Donr waste your time as they will waste yours.

First, let me just say that I realize there is a high demand for movers in Northern Michigan, so a bit of inflation is to be expected when using local companies.However, even if these were the best movers on earth, I could never recommend them to anyone except people who literally have money to burn.We paid a company in Grand Rapids $1350 to not only PACK our belongings into boxes, but LOAD them into two 26' trucks. It took them approximately 9 hours to do this.When we arrived in northern Michigan, we paid a company $400 to unload them all into the storage units.When Chris sent us an estimate for $7,000 to pack our items and unload them a mere 10 miles from the storage unit, I was shocked and frankly, sickened.This kind of price gouging is why Northern Michigan has stopped being a place normal people, and locals, can continue to survive.I have never left a negative review for any company before, but to all regular people out there trying to move belongings in Northern Michigan, stay away from Petoskey Moving.

I would highly recommend Petoskey Moving for all of your needs. Chris and his team are thoroughly professional. This is the third time we have used their services and they are always on time and extremely careful with our furniture. Just today they were able to respond to a rush move by rearranging their schedule which saved the day. Well done team.

Called a half hour after no one showed for my appointment to get a quote. A fellow named Chris said he hadn't forgotten about me but couldn't get to me until later, no apology for not showing. I'm going to forget about using them, period. Pete C.
