Awesome little party store! they have a gray cat it loves rubs they have a selection of wine alcohol and everyday supplies also have some candy for the kids and lottery it's a small family business also have some cool painted rocks around the building so if your in portage and need some supplies or need to grab a snack or some lottery stop in and check them out

The new owner cares about the history of the Trading Post & the community it serves, and it shows. They've also used local businesses to help restore the Trading Posts floors in the recent months; the love and labor they're putting into this place warms my heart. I'm glad to know it's in the hands of someone who loves it just as much as my own family loves it. I'll just say it, as a girl I found the last owner a bit ... cranky, so this one's really bringing in a fresh kindness with her.

Always a pleasure to go in and get something cold to drink and some munchies. There's even a cute little puppy there at times waiting for a lil back scratches as well to brighten your day (I mean if you can't take the time to pet a puppy and even more so not smile when ya see it, then I feel sorry for ya.)Also, I love how the place still has an old style feel to it as well. Been going there for years and hope for many more to come.

Owner’s a complete jacka*s. Just moved to Pinckney and won’t ever be back. Has the audacity to call customers rude to their face for being on a private phone call - even though they aren’t talking just simply on a call that’s on hold for the time being while in the store. Then crawls back into his shell when he gets it back.Guy you want to talk about rude? You don’t have an ounce of customer service, wouldn’t even help the poor new employee for a good 5 minutes of awkwardness who needed help clearing his error on my order because he’s too caught up in his own false sense of ego on the fact that there’s a phone call (that’s dead silent) going on.The trading post stands because there’s literally no competition around it. If anything opens up you’re going to want to replace your entire personality. Also, if you act like that to the wrong person you’re going to have more than a shouting match to worry about. Place is the definition of “sucks”.

I went here to get a drink and the store owner was upset that I had headphones on. He said I was rude to my face for walking in with them on. I put what I was going to buy down and left. Terrible customer service! Definitely not going back.
