This is a great rental place. The equipment is always in good working order and clean. The one time I did have an issue with a machine, the staff was very accommodating and refunded the rental without question. Completely remodeled showroom and exterior. It's very well lit, clean, and organized. The animals in the showroom are a fun decorating touch. It's a good local business to support.

Advertised 19.99 per day + miles (&gas) yet still trying to charge me 700 dollars for 4 days($80) 293 miles X . 69 $202.17 & gas($116 I Believe is what their quote says)..... Doesn't add up. Had to lock my card to stop the charges. Can't get any answer via email or anyone to return my calls

Would totally recommend renting from here, very personable. Had a battery issue on the lift and they came out to fix it within an hour and extended our rental usage very happy about that.

There's just not enough space to explain the awful experience I had with A-1 Rental in Plainwell. At first they were friendly , but the second you complain about one thing they are the complete opposite. I rented a tent, tables, and chairs for my wedding which was on Saturday, June 24, 2017. The quality of their products are not worth the price you pay AT ALL. First off, they tried to deliver it 4 days before my wedding (Tuesday), when I told them, that day wouldn't work because the property still needed to be mowed, they called me back and said that they can leave the tables and chairs in the parking lot and still set up the tent and we can just mow underneath the tent, which in my opinion is incredibly rude to suggest. We met in the middle with them, and both parties agreed to set up being at 2pm on Thursday so my fiancée and I could both be present. I received a call on Thursday at 11 AM by a neighbor saying that they arrived at 9 AM and the tent was completely set up and they were packing up to leave. I immediately got on the phone to speak with someone and when I called, the owner basically said, "it's not my problem and there's nothing we can do about it." I then had to clock out and leave work and drive to the property site, only to find out that the tent was dirty, nasty, and drooping. On top of that they brought the wrong tables..... I had to call my fiancée and interrupt him at work to see if he could do something. My fiancée called the owner and we asked if the tent could be cleaned because it was absolutely filthy and had holes all over it and we asked for it to be set up the right way since not even an hour after it was set up it was falling apart. They had to come back 3 more times after that because there installers would not do their job properly the first or even second time (not to mention they brought an orange construction strap as one of the tent stake ropes while all the others were white talk about tacky and for a wedding?? I just found that ridiculous that they thought they could even get away with that) To continue, because of all the frustration and conflict we had to endure, we asked for a partial refund and they agreed to those terms as well as the ten to be cleaned. They sent two boys on Thursday evening around 6pm.. after work I went to see how the tent was looking, I told the boys that it looked better (still not as clean as what it should be since I paid over $1,300 for this service but it was two days before my wedding and this is what I was left with.) The next day (Friday, the day before our wedding) my fiancée called about the refund they replied, "We thought you did not want a refund anymore because you told the boys they did a good job." My fiancée told the owner he is still expecting a partial refund and the owner tried to push it off to Monday, but my fiancée insisted that it be immediate and drove to A-1 right away. When my fiancée arrived the owner would not even come out of his office and sent his wife instead, she snatched my fiancée's bank card out of his hand, slammed it back on the table, and threw a pen at my fiancée after all that she said, "you're lucky you dealt with Aaron, because if it were me you would not be getting any kind of a refund." Terrible experience with terrible people and I'm glad it is over with, I am telling EVERYONE to never go to A-1 Rentall. Also they left two ladders behind on our property and still do not know that they are missing and it has been nearly 3 weeks! Poor Business Management! *EDIT: They came back 4 months later to collect their ladders with no notice at all, we left one outside, in a hurry they thought they could grab their ladder and no one would notice, luckily someone saw them and tried to ask them what they were doing, they replied that they were getting their ladder, and then quickly got in their truck in left. If they had any business professionalism about them, they would have came and knocked on the door or called us, so we could tell them where their other ladder
