I would definitely not recommend this place! 1st impression was ok. I took my son there to buy him a car to get back and forth to school he was excited and was interested in a jeep that was recently listed. Long story short, it was listed as 130000 miles when we purchased it was 185000. Red flag. They must have primed the engine with oil because I made it home but the next day, start it up, it starts smoking bad from the back then oil pressure completely dropped! I called Autowest and they acted concerned and had me bring it back. Said their service would take a look at it and see what they could do. (Im thinking cool cool this place is alright)It sat there for a month and they never even started the damn thing! When I call they act like its a problem or something. I just checking on my son truck! Then they supposely lost the key. The whole time it was in the same place I put it a month ago! I found it when I went there to sell the jeep. There is alot I am leaving out but like I said I definitely would not recommend this raggedy place. Your choice! I mad I typed all this! And I get the as is policy but yall said bring it back! 0 stars from me

I'd like to start off by saying, I don't believe these people intentionally try to scam you. They work with banks that know they make money off their sky high interest rates. A lot of customers (I listened to while in the process of buying my car) don't seem to understand how the process works. That being said, whoever the mechanic is that looks over these cars is a joke. Glorified lube tech as far as I can tell. So a couple weeks ago I bought a 2018 Mazda3 with about 75k. Now, this is partially my fault, I didn't check the car over passed what most consumers would. Appeared clean and drove down the road no problem. The few things we noticed during the test drive were to be addressed before pickup. At the time I did pick up this vehicle it had an airbag sensor fault (which I could understand may or may not be something they could fix) a turn signal inop and the transmitter for the key didnt work. No lock/unlock from fob and I had to put the fob over the push button to get it to start. I figured whatever 10 bucks isn't that big of a deal to change the battery and light bulb. Turns out it wasn't either of those things. I figured I better figure out the turn signal at least. The connector had no power or ground. At this point I don't understand why the mechanic didn't realize this. So I followed the wiring up to the back of the rear seat. I pulled that down and pulled the trim. Turns out the previous owner had some friends ? and they enjoyed some wires for dinner. I went ahead and bought some 18 gauge wire from the hardware store (that was an adventure tbh) and repaired all those wires. Resolved all 3 issues. If I were this dealership, I would look into hiring a real mechanic.

Horrible experience. I was sold a FWD Mazda Cx-3 as an AWD, and then when I went there to confront them, they told me that it was the system’s fault because it was registered as an AWD, but aren’t they supposed to check their vehicles to see what they got in stock before publishing fake ads? But ok, I was naive and didn’t do much about it. To compensate me, they were supposed to change my headlights that had a condensation issue, but everytime I called to see if I could go to get them changed, they said they’ll call me back, and guess what? They never did, and it has been a few months since then. Still with my headlights issue. Also the guy that sold me the car lied to me a couple of times. He told me that the price shown on the ad was the final price for the car, even with an extended warranty included! But at the end they charged like 2k extra bucks for that. He It was my first car so he took advantage of that. It was my mistake to to go there with none experience in buying a car. Wouldn’t recommend at all, even less if you are buying a car for the first time without someone experienced.

January 31 2023, Monthly payment $929.66, I told them I couldn't afford more than $450, gave me $1500 to use $500 a month for 3 months and they would refinance and get the payment to $450. Called the number the salesman Kenny Kosty, no answer, voicemailbox full. Called the manager, no answer, didn't return calls. Drove to Plainwell, was told to wait 6 months. Called them after 6 months, no luck, Stuck with original payment.

Autowest is thee worst place to buy a car. I bought my car from them back in April 2023. Now I'm sitting at Discount Tire in Indiana on Aug 23 getting 2 new tired. But was told all 4 are bad. Autowest in Plainwell Mi drove my car too Grandrapids Mi Memorial day weekend and said they put new tires on on. I was told by not only Belle Tire but an oil change place that the tires that were on it were shot when I bought it In April. So Autowest sold me a car with shot tires. Plus the car over heated the week that I had it. Autowest did put a new engine blower in it. So that was fixed.

Orville was great! Not pushy at all like some salesmen can be. Came and test drove a car and came back a week later after looking at several other cars.

Auto West plainwell was made easy, go see Matt, he will take great care of you! Matt is a magician. He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Promises to fix things. But you never hear from him. Tells you one price. Raise the price $3,000 but doesn't notify you while your test driving. Lies lies lies and more. Good luck shopping with

We came here with a vehicle way too small for our growing family. Tim and sherry were extremely helpful. Bending over backwards to keep us in our range that works for our families income. We were able to get a 2021 Chrysler van that will be perfect for our family. We could not be more thankful. THANK YOU AUTO WEST OF PLAINWELL!!!!!

Just bought a used 2014 Honda CR-V at a great price from AutoWest. Matt was a huge help in reassuring us of an already great deal when we were a little apprehensive. He also got us a great deal on our trade-in to help keep the price to our budget. Very happy with the service we received!Update: Within a few hours of purchasing our car, we started having some weird shaking coming from the transmission. We took the car in to a mechanic, and they said they were sure it was the transmission, but their shop doesn't do transmission work. We reached out to Auto West because we knew we were still under our partial warranty that covers 25% of powertrain/transmission work. The first time we called, we were told our salesman was out of the office for lunch, which wasn't a huge deal. We were asked to call back. I did call back and started to explain who I was to the person who answered the phone and they cut me off, and without saying a word transferred me to our salesman. He was understanding, but definitely was asking questions to try to avoid going down the route of the warranty (understandably so). He said he'd have a technician reach out the next day to schedule us to bring it in, because they'd need to look at it to uphold the warranty. Next morning came and no call came through, so my wife called the shop and explained the situation. The workers on the phone kept transferring her to someone else, and were somewhat rude to her - making it very apparent that we were being an inconvenience to them. When she got on the phone with the technician, he was also very rude and told her there was no way they could fit us in. After she stayed on the phone with him for a few minutes, he did mention he may be able to get us in later the next week, but would need to call back. We didn't ever receive the call.Overall, not thrilled with the customer service we've experienced once we purchased the car. We've decided it's not worth the hassle to deal with them for the repair, and we'll just pay for it ourselves. We won't be back.

Absolutely the worse place to get a vehicle! I got a vehicle from this place a little over 6 months ago with a warranty first month something goes wrong and they refuse to fix it and tell me I don’t have a warranty then when they do find the warranty they still refuse to fix my vehicle! The car has been in the shop longer than my drive way! They say they will help you then bam flip the script and say their waiting for their boss for further details but their trying to help smh biggest mistake of my life!! Please if you read this DO NOT get a vehicle from this place! You will regret it!!

Matt was able to find me something I liked with all the bells and whistles. Good ol boy for sure. We talked and talked and were able to get a deal and was patient waiting for my insurers to come through. Would definitely buy here rather than a used car from any other dealers around here. Even comes with a dealer warranty that's not to bad itself
