Not a very good selection of clothes. Looks like a lot but it is just old dingy items. Did anything good is kinda pricey for Salvation Army…

Really enjoy coming here! Ive gotten to know some of the employees and they are so kind. Prices are fair and the shelves are often very full. The store could use a good deep clean, but overall it’s great.

Literally had to leave. There’s a really bad smell in this building and I believe it caused me to start having some kind of allergies coughing eyes watering nose running. It’s summer I’m not sick, wasn’t like this before I walked in and now sitting in the parking lot giving this review to let you know it’s basically gone… weird. Store needs a serious cleaning. It’s gross

Barely had any items in the furniture, toys, and the normal shelf’s. I saw in the back there was lots of donations. Like they should put them out on time! This place is low on stock and I’m never coming again.

Customer service poor, employees are not qualified to be on a register, and employees are challenged.

I don't know what to say. If I had rated this place in the pre-Covid years, I would have given it a 5 star. It's getting better again, after being nearly half vacant from 2020 and well into 2022. Apparently, the main store on Division Ave. in Grand Rapids, closed down (also home to the re-hab center that all 8 stores within the district support) for a remodel. It truly is a great service and it was sad that construction delays and supply chain issues disrupted this operation - one that was in place for decades. The location on Division has reopened this year and is a bin store. However, in years (decades) prior, it was the main processing center for all 8 stores. Management has since decided that each location can run independently, with whatever donations they receive from locals. NOT a great idea. The Plainwell and Holland stores are considered self-sufficient - no need for a "push" from deliveries that used to be redistributed, daily - across the district. I used to be a FREQUENT Salvation Army patron, even when the main store kept a rather lame antique dealer in place (she had connections - 20 years, at least - now long gone) who overpriced anything that she deemed "valuable" or didn't keep herself. I really have high hopes, once again, for this location and the Division Ave. store. I think the charity is great. However, I'm not going to waste gas $$ going to these places, only to find shoddy merch or overpriced clothes. The Holland Store REALLY NEEDS HELP. I live here but quit going; the shelves are ALWAYS 1/2 empty. Incidentally, in order to get help, I do know that they allow employees to buy items BEFORE they reach the shelves. No wonder there is a pathetic selection in Holland. If the upper ranks let the workers do it there, they are probably letting them do it in each store. I'll update this post if anything truly improves.

The changing rooms are still closed and they don't do cash returns, only store credit. So trying to get clothes that fit here is pointless.
