I lived here for 2.5 years with my wife. I will say for a first apartment this was pretty good, but looking back at this place there's a lot to be desired. All the appliances are the bare minimum. The sink doesn't have a spray nozzle and doesn't bend. The floors are grey stick on tiles designed to look like wood, and they crack really easily (that's like a 300 dollar fix if you accidentally slide a chair over a crack and it breaks the fake tile). The A/C and heat work okay-ish? The vents are on the far wall of the apartment and they don't go into the bathrooms, so what will happen is in the winter you'll have a warm half and cold half of your apartment. The bathrooms get none of that air if the doors are closed so you freeze in the winter when you go to shower. I have lived in a 1 bedroom here and we upgraded to a 2 bedroom, and both apartments had this issue. The Laundry units are small until you spend the big bucks and get the highest tier apartment they have, and the water heater is small too. The electric bill was high as well cause the horribly designed heating and cooling don't do the job properly. This issue was in our 1925 a month apt and our 2165 a month apartment.
Dog park is nice-ish, but be careful walking to it from the apartments side. There's no steps going up to it from the path. My wife broke her ankle cause she slipped on the grass. You might want to bring your own umbrella or something for shade.
Landscaping is fine? Never really cared about that.
The Gym is small but useable. Will blow a circuit though if you have 2 machines running at the same time.
Mind you this is all apartments that are in the 1800 to 2600 dollar a month range. I think it's even more if you want a spot in a garage, otherwise you get 1 spot in a carport and if you have a partner or room mate they have to fend for themselves with the uncovered spots.
Your packages that aren't regular mail are stored in the entryway that doesn't need a key to access. When we were there people came in and stole all the packages. Nothing changed after that, so in theory someone could do that again.
Management is fine. There were 3 different managers when we were there. Connor was the last one we had and he was chill.
Basically this place is fine ish. You get apartments built with basic appliances and awkward design, but the area you live in is awesome. Because Plymouth is so nice they feel like they can charge an extra 500 bucks for apartments that should be 2000 at the top and 1200 on the lower end. Most people that live here will probably not care about that price though because most people I met while living there are doctors, dentists, executives, or have trust funds. They also will rent apartments for c suite people that need to stay in the area for extended periods of time.
If you're not one of those people just go live in like Canton or Livonia, you'll be a short drive from downtown Plymouth anyway. The cost of living will be way less, too.

Conner++ Made the whole process of leasing my loft so simple, just one of the many reasons I loved Starkweather Lofts.

I have been here a few months and overall have good things to say about the complex. The apartments are spacious and well-appointed. Apartments are well soundproofed and I have never heard my neighbors (granted I chose a top floor unit so nobody would be walking overhead). The leasing staff are helpful and repairs are completed quickly. The grounds are fairly well maintained and clean. The location is nice and a reasonably short walk from downtown Plymouth and a short drive from just about anything you might need. There is plenty of parking for residents and guests. My main issue is something that the apartment complex has no control over but should be considered when looking at this place... there are train tracks nearby and CONSTANT train horns can be heard at all hours of the day and night, loud enough to wake you up (even with windows closed). The units are also priced aggressively high but not completely unreasonable for the amenities, market, and location. The gym has limited equipment and there is no pool.

A member of Starkweather Lofts' staff, Connor McCririe, has gone above and beyond answering my questions about the property and the prospect of living here. It is a refreshing change of pace to talk to an actual employee vs an automated chat.

Living here just over a year, this has been a terrific place to live. I’ve had no issues and whenever something has come up the property manager Bianca has been extremely helpful and accommodating which is very appreciated. I would recommend Starkweather to anybody

Starkweather lofts has been an amazing place to call home. The apartments are beautiful and peaceful and the location is so close to major freeways, downtown Plymouth, and biking/walking trails at Hines Drive. Most importantly, the office staff has been incredible. Bianca, the property manager, has been extremely helpful with any questions I’ve had during my time here. She is always responsive, professional, and accommodating, even going above and beyond by taking the time to follow up after the fact. She is running this fabulous community very well. Myself, and I’m sure the other residents, truly appreciate her diligence!
