So disappointed and I want make a big post about it . But I will say this I will and do not recommend this place at all. Before you buy make sure it’s not a rebuilt or salvage title. Not even a week and $1200.00 out of pocket . I understand it being a used car but geesh not this type of money a week later. The sad part about it nice couple but that’s about it. Shop at your own risk . I did up my stars to two because they seemed to be good people. But my fault for not reading these comments before I purchased.

All I have to say is BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE! It's a very long story, but needless to say, buying a car at Great Lakes was a HUGE & VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE! The car had issues within 24 hours it came off the lot. When a complaint was made about how poor the car was running, Dave said it was bad gasoline! That was very DISHONEST, as it is highly doubtful he has the machinery that tests gasoline, and the car actually needed a new fuel pump. A couple months later a new radiator fan, and new tires as they were shot. The final blow was a blown transmission less than 18 months after the purchase. The cost to replace - $6300 - car had to be junked, as it was not worth spending another dime on it. The Nissan dealershop that diagnosed the transmission, said the car looked "stiched together" and were shocked it was sold to anyone without full disclosure. So, if you are brave or stupid enough to buy from this place, make sure you have a qualified mechanic look over the car with a fine tooth comb before you purchase it.

Terrible dealership. Went there to test drive and most likely buy a vehicle but left extremely dissatisfied. The service was unprofessional and lacking and when trying to test drive the vehicle we were interested in the vehicle key had no batteries, so we were expected to "check out" the vehicle when the alarm was still blaring into our ears. We were then told that they would replace the batteries if we bought the vehicle itself! Not to mention we would only be able to test drive this vehicle in the parking lot apparently because of "slippery roads". There were even more issues about professionalism we experienced (like the manager talking to us like we have never heard of a vehicle before "this is the only vehicle like this in the United States") but will not say to keep this review somewhat short.

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND YOUR SANITY, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE, AT THIS POINT, I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT KIND OF TRASH THESE PEOPLE ARE. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT AND WILL DENY THAT THEY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANY ISSUES THAT ARISE AFTER YOU DRIVE OFF THEIR LOT!!I have paid Dave and his wife, Dawn, over $8,000 for this junkyard job. All of the parts on my car were supposed to be replaced with NEW parts and the car was supposed to be in the same condition it was in before the accident that took place on September 22, 2021.Not only did I not get my car back until November, after having to pay $1800 for a rental because they took so long to complete the job, I ended up back at the shop because the work was not completed. The FIRST time I dropped it off, there was tar on the front passenger side door that was obviously a mistake that hadn't been cleaned up. When I mentioned this to Dave he said that he didn't know how the tar got there and that the front passenger door was not touched. He agreed to remove the tar and I was grateful. Additionally, there had been yellow glue on the roof of the car near the back glass as well as on the decals. When I pointed this out, he told me it was tree sap and that I must have parked under a tree but that he would remove it -- as if he was doing me a favor. I hadn't driven anywhere but home and there are no trees over my driveway and, SURPRISE, as you would imagine, there are NO TREES IN MY GARAGE, so it beats me. The back glass was originally placed improperly and I was informed it would be reset. Additionally, there was white residue all over the inside of my car that you could see from outside of the back glass by the break light. He tried to remove it, however, the job was not clean. The speakers rattled regularly while I had the car the first time around and when I brought it up to him he once again said his favorite words, "I didn't touch the [speakers]." Lastly (for this first experience), I HAVE THE WRONG BUMPER ON MY CAR!!!!!SECOND TIME AROUND!!!The seal on the back glass is not attached -- it is a one finger removal all the way across the bottom. The seal is buckled and coming out all around the glass as you can see in the photos, which lucky for me, means it rains into my car.As you can see on the right side (where the trunk lid meets the trunk), there is a bondo job AND a halfway bondo job that has been painted over. I imagine that because of the way this was "fixed" there is and has been a loud squealing sound inside go the car coming from that area of the car. You can see more bondo paint just beside rear light -- unlike the other side where there are clean seems with actual rivets (the side that was not touched and seems to be in its original condition).THE PAINT on the passenger side of the car is THREE DIFFERENT shades of white. The bumper on the right side is not affixed -- it is sunken in in various areas and popped out in others. On the left side, the bumper sinks in on one side and pops out on another. So, either the bumper is not the correct bumper, or the panel is not the correct panel.THE TRUNK LID: The entire right and left side been shaved off, sanded down, bondoed and then repainted. The edges are not smooth and there is are uneven gaps on each side once the lid is closed. The right side on the trunk lid dips and the left side is raised. There are paint smears and runs ALL over the trunk lid. You can see in one area a spot where they sanded it and didn't paint it -- you are looking at primed metal underneath -- they did a "buff and polish" or "refinish" and obviously missed a spot. I want to NOTE here that the stated to me that he "DID NOT touch the truck lid" and that it was not part of the claim. 1. Why lie and say you did not touch it when it's clearly been damaged? 2. Why did you touch it if it wasn't in the claim? These are not questions for the "dealership/bodyshop"! GAS CAP: When I p

I have SO many good things to say about this staff and the experience I had buying my car here. I am a incoming college student that needed a nice, reliable car for driving back and forth and that is exactly what I got!Dawn, the owner, was so understanding and made the process so much easier. She helped through each step and was very knowledgeable about her job, same with her husband, they both helped my Mom and I a ton!! You can they both care about running their shop.Michelle was our sales rep and she also did a GREAT job at helping us through the process, she definitely cares about her job and loves what she does. I give a huge thanks to her she was so kind and patient!!I love my new car and would recommend to anybody looking for a used car!!

When I walk into a dealer I am buying a car that day. Trust I have done some research and am there to write you a check so to speak. Today we went to Pure Honda and literally there was 5 people standing around and blasé about some one waiting for service after 20 minutes of wasted time we walked out. On the contrast wound up at Great Lakes and walked out with an Infiniti today and couldn't be happier. Dawn is phenomenal and all the time you used to waste in the dealership not an issue. This was a seamless and easy transaction.

This is an update on a previous review. If I could go lower than 1 star, I would. I've had this car about a month and something is wrong with it. I took the vehicle back to service and of course they said they found nothing wrong. Yet, they were refusing to even give me a copy of the inspection report. The service manager, Dave was BEYOND rude. They have no interest in their customers once the car is out the door. I was given the run around at every turn. I originally gave this place a great review...now, I'm telling you, RUN! Purchase your vehicle elsewhere!

Hi folks, I'm Trevor Thompson, I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I have been covering the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, Lions and every other sport that moves, for Fox Sports Detroit, (now Bally Sports) for the past 21 years. Those of you who know me from my work there, or who follow me on my social media platforms, know that I am a very chill, laid-back, easy-going, fun-loving, kind of guy. For those of you who don't know or follow me, I'm a very chill, laid-back, easy-going, fun-loving kind of guy - until I'm not. And after dealing with Dave, at Great Lakes Auto Superstore, I am anything but chill! I am disturbed and deeply disappointed to the point where I feel I need to share my experience with all of you in the hopes that you can avoid the pitfalls of this place. And this really isn't even about me. It's about the experience my wife and I had trying to buy a car for our son. We made this mistake of trusting, Dave, and taking him at his word. That's when we found he is the embodiment of that prototypical, shady, deceitful, "used car salesman" on that lot we all dread coming across. I'll save you the blow by blow details of the 2 month period of back and forth we had trying to the right the wrongs this man's deceitfulness took us through and simply tell you what I told him in our last phone conversation: "I do not trust," him. He, "flat out lied to our faces several times on several issues relating to the purchase and service of the vehicle" we bought from him. In trying to find a replacement vehicle for the defective merchandise he sold us, "we took SEVERAL OTHER CARS to our mechanic to be look over, and every single one of them had SIGNIFICANT, AND COSTLY issues that he easily spotted." I took us 2 months to find a car that was actually worth exchanging for the original piece of junk we were sold. I told him, and I'm tell you, Dave "does not sell quality products at Great Lakes Auto Superstore, and it is a crying shame that you can spend $10 - $15,000 or more on a car off that lot, and the first thing you have to do once you leave the lot, is drive straight to your mechanic to get it fixed!" I've been doing business in this community for the past 20 years, and this is the single worst dealing / experience I've come across in all that time. In fact, this is the first review of this kind I've ever written... I'm a pretty chill guy. But if you're looking for a used car, or know anyone who is, feel free to shop wherever you like, but if you're dealing with Dave, or Great Lakes Auto Superstore, consider this a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood sportscaster... "BUYER BEWARE!" Sincerely, Trevor Thompson
