I recently purchased a vehicle from Motor City Direct. From start to finish they made me feel like family, took their time to find what I was looking for and answered the millions of questions I had. This was by far the best car purchasing experience I’ve ever had! I highly recommend them!

I'm not usually one to write reviews but, I wish I would have turned around & never looked back at this place. I know this sounds crazy but I actually called them to see if they would be willing to buy the car back from me because I really just want to get rid of it. The woman I spoke to told me that the owner was there & he would call me back, and I haven't heard a word from them since, this was nearly 2 weeks ago.I bought a 2013 GMC Terrain from Motor City Auto Direct back in February. On my way home, the check engine light came on. Tom, who sold us the car, allowed me to come back in the next day so their tech could fix it. After I got the car back it seemed fine & then we realized it needed all new wheel bearings, break pads & rotors all the way around - not something that you'd expect your new car to need right away but it's regular car maintenance so I guess I understand. Right when we finished that, my car started locking up & we found it was the transfer case. Tom talked us into buying a GWC warranty so, that was covered under it luckily. I took my car to a mechanic that accepts GWC but because of the warranty, it takes forever to get the claim approved before the shop will start to work on it, so I didn't have my car for nearly 2 months. When I finically got my car back, it started locking up again so now I still can't drive it. I've had this car since February & I've driven it only 2.5 months out of that! I have a 1.5year old so I was really hoping that I was getting a safe & reliable vehicle but I got the complete opposite.

Worst car buying experience ever. Tom stated the car had a clean car fax never mentioned it was in a flood and the frame was completely rotted but neither did the mechanic at Goodyear.The problems mentioned I spoke to Tom about he said he would replace if I purchased the car. Tom did not correct what was promised he put 1 new bushing in a faulty control arm. Tom did offer to call me in a week but it's been over 3 and he mailed my plate to me. Thanks for the worst car experience ever

Justin and his crew were amazing to work with! Easy process of selling of my SUV, and no hassles on the other side! Highly recommend working with these guys if looking to sell your current vehicle! Even if I’m market for a new vehicle!

Reviews making this Pontiac native who prefers to spend money with businesses inside the city a little hesitant. The shop sits in a great location in the city, but some reluctance on my part.

I don’t like to share negative experiences but if this can save other people from price gouging I will be happy. Took our car in, we were told it needed a completely new (rebuilt) transmission, $3,600. Called around a few other places, had it towed to a shop that said they will repair it, not replace it, cost -$500.Will never take autos here again!Service: Transmission

Fast and friendly sales and service departments that go exceed customers expectations in every way possible. In my experience I found Motor City Direct to be willing and understanding to work with there customers in many ways that work for there customers.

Very bad experience. They took my car telling me it will be just a couple of days, ended up on their lot for over a month, and I attempted to call them many many times, each time the same answer that we are working on it, and finally they tell me we can't do anything only your dealer can fix it, and still charged me $180 for diagnostic and their hours work on it, when they literally did nothing.

I bought a dodge durango from jon it was a great experience working with him top notch all the way and almost 2 years later truck is still running strong no problems I would definitely recommend him and them for your next vehicle purchase
