Please tell me why I called this place being a single mother with a very special needs daughter called to inquire about a gas card but they said they don't I hate how these people lie .....I don't like salvation army I think there a joke sorry but helping homeless people they all get there money for profits.... They literally said they don't give out gas cards but what do I know exept my reaserch these people really make the people suffer especially when it comes to people in need
Al Overview
The Salvation Army does offer gas cards or vouchers to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, often in conjunction with transportation assistance programs. These programs are typically designed to help low-income individuals struggling to afford gas and transportation needed to attend work, school, or other essential activities.

Prices crazy high, and there are no fitting rooms. To add insult to injury there are no restrooms. Sad to see this store go so down hill.

Every year they assist families for the holidays with trees, food, toys and they did this when I had kids many years ago. They are a Blessing to our community.

When someone is truly in need, their need may be immediate and sometimes unknown. Sure would be nice to be able to even discuss the need and receive direction to what is or may be available. But that's just me. It would take genuine concern with the individual. You know, like Paul wrote, "Bear each other's burdens so that Christ may be fulfilled in you". But know it seems like manage the funds for the silly season when the whole world can see our great and far reaching works. Christ ALWAYS provides every thing we need. Sometime it comes from the Salvation Army and sometimes from a homeless dope addict. How foolish it is to not rely on the grace, love and abundance of our God.
