There's so much merchandise that it's a bit overwhelming but I'm going to guess that they're gearing up for the holidays.Couldn't find an employee to help in footwear so I called the store and asked them to send someone. Gave employee the shoe size and he mistakenly brought out a UK size which was not the same. Prices were $35 more than an online competitor and price matching was not an option. Bought the $80 cheerleading shoes anyway.

Bought a new crossbow today that was assembled by Dunhams- cocker string broke first pull and damaged the bow and injured my husband. The pounds were set way too high- u have inexperienced young kids assembling the crossbows. Super rude teenagers refuses too help and stood there laughing at me getting mad. Katie made me so angry it’s unreal you have her as a manager. You need to review the surveillance of the way she dealt with the situation. I’m a breast cancer survivor and I need a crossbow to hunt- so much for hunting this year. Called corporate several times with no return calls.

The 2 star rating I gave is because since mid summer 2023 I've came here 2 a month to fill my paintball co2 cartridge and they keep telling me that they're co2 fill station is "broke". Same with the west main Dunham so I have to go to niles or south haven to fill my co2 cartridge. They need to train there employees better on how to properly fill the co2 cartridges so they don't keep "braking".

I checked on the website to find snowshoes in stock. The site was incorrect again and again. After calling many stores I finally spoke with Emma in Portage michigan. After a small wait she checked the new stock that just came in and they had them. She set them aside for me. I am driving from Southbend indiana. The customer service Emma gave was beyond exemplary. I would give Emma 10 stars if possible. Excellent job Emma. I will definitely be returning to Dunham’s of Portage for all my outdoor needs.

Bought a reel about a week ago And wasn't able to test it out right away. I lost the receipt thinking having the rewards thing would have my receipt on file I was wrong. I have other places that have this and I am able to look up my receipts what the sense of having it if it's useless. I don't even get coupons. Will never go back.

Went into to look at a lever action. It was on shelf but I couldnt read the tag. A worker was behind the counter but told me he couldn't walk the three feet to his right to read the tag for me. Are you serious ? This is why there types of stores are going out of business. Thanks for saving me $1100.

They sold me a "new" S&W M&P Shield Plus gun that clearly has a used barrel.I have yet to fire the gun, but as the picture shows, there's a significant amount of copper fowling in the barrel, which can only come from rounds being fired.Most likely, a Dunham's employee (I'm not naming names yet) switched out the used barrel from his M&P Shield. (He told me he has this same gun when he sold it to me, which is probably true because it's a very common gun). He most likely switched out his used barrel, took the new one out of mine before selling it to me, and put my new gun's barrel in his old, used gun.When I confronted him about the used barrel in the gun he sold me, he didn't even deny my claim.I've called this particular Dunham's as well as the Dunham's corporate office to make sure they know about this problem.I'm still waiting for them to replace the barrel or the gun, but they're saying there's nothing they can do.
