In the last days of my 80 year old mother's life, a 40 year customer of Ferellgas, she had missed paying a bill. FG then removed the 40 year loyal customer from the keep it full plan they offered. We learned about this as my parents realized there was no heat in their house in the middle of winter. Since my mother was very ill and my father nearly 85, I called FG to find out what was going on. I was told that since the bill was overdue, we are no longer eligible for keep it full plan and must pay in advance for propane. I completely understood and prepaid for a full tank plus $100. For an emergency delivery. It never came for 2 weeks. We were running on electric heaters. After several long hold waiting phone calls we finally received what we pre paid for. My mother soon passed away and I moved from my family to my father's home to help out. Two years have passed and we are consistently having trouble getting propane delivered, even with paid in full pre payment. It always seems to be our fault for not calling in time. First they suggest we call at 20%, we did, no delivery for weeks and we run out. Then 30%. Then 40%. Then 50%. This time the delivery was 6 weeks after we pre paid and we ran out of propane and had to call back and was charged a $100. Emergency charge for the gas we prepaid 6 weeks ago. Another call and they waived the $100. But another hour on the phone. There is a definite breakdown in Ferellgas service and is no way getting any better. We are forgiving people but do not feel valued as a long time loyal customer by any means. Very sad.

Got a delivery, never got a bill, they closed a customer service office near me, everything has gone electronic, if I had another choice in propane provider, I'd take; terrible customer service!

Yes we ordered gas 2 weeks ago took are money still haven't delivered Called 4 times now this week keep saying they will deliver tomorrow

Poor service and they want me to put in an order two or more weeks ahead of time. Even when an emergency fill is needed, they don't seem to care. If I could change, and easily move my tank I would in a heartbeat!

Over 18 years as a customer with Best Propane, now known as Ferrell Gas. Ferrell still has a truck that flies down our business road. Didn’t know the company closed their Battle Creek location while operating out of Portage.Last two years have been hard work on my part to get service. Never in our 18 years were we charged to stay a customer. The past two years we have had to pay a fee to do business with Ferrell. A month ago I received a bill for $300. When I called, I was immediately placed on hold. Finally the young woman comes on the line and I explained I didn’t know why I was being charged $300. She said tank rental. We bought our tanks when we bought our home 18 years ago. I was placed on hold for a bit. I kindly asked if someone could call me back to discuss tomorrow as it’s close to five (pm). The horrible customer service response was “it’s after 5 now” and she hung up on me. I called well before 5p. I’m not holding my breath for that return call. Never received it. Signed on with a new company for $1.54/gallon. I was a loyal and good customer to Best/Ferrell. Never had a balance and always paid in full after a fill up. Ferrell should offer customer service training to their office staff. The year after Ferrell acquired Best, I was told by their office person that I didn’t have an account. I assured the lady that I had just paid my annualMembership fee on line and was calling to schedule a refill/top off. After severalminutes of being placed on hold, the lady was professional and said she found me in the system. No apology, just strictly business which tells me she was very busy. At least I was able to schedule the fill and pay high prices (over $2.60 per gallon) with no consideration for being a long term client or that I had called in June.Found a post card from AmeriGas and would encourage folks to try a different local provider with a better sense of customer relationship building. AmeriGas was great to talk to today.

I had been a Ferrellgas customer for 4 years at Pride of America Campground. They have the worst customer service ever. One year they delivered my propane to my neighbor and then tried telling me they didn't, however my neighbor used Crawford Oil so we know for sure they did, as the name is on the cylinder. Now this year I called for a change out of my cylinder, was given a date they would be here, 2 days later I called and was told they had a system outage and was not sure who was in line for a delivery, however she could not tell me when I would get a delivery. Now I have a toddler and a baby, I had no heat, no hot water, and could not cook for my kids. We are seasonals and live up there from open to closing time. When she could not tell me when they would be able to deliver my cylinders I asked to have my account closed as I was going with Crawford Oil, they were somehow able to be to my house with in the hour to pick up their equipment. Terrible company, no one cares about their customers there at all. I hope by writing this I save someone else the frustration that I have felt with this awful company!!!!!!!

Very nice delivery drivers and office does what they can. That said, had some difficulties getting delivery scheduled/confirmed when I was out of propane due to the February ice storm.

Ran out of gas shortly after moving into our new home. This was the beginning of Febuary.Called to have the tank filled for an emergency fill.Was told do to the previous owners of the home not paying the bill they could not come fill the tank in a timely manner.A month later of running space heaters and driving our electric bill out the roof they finally decided to come fill the tank 1/3 of the way.I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.What a joke.

I've been out of gas since 12/23. It's now 12/29 and still no propane on the horizon. Unfortunately no hot water either. Been a customer 5 years or more now. Always diligent with filling the tank but my thermostat got left up while we were out of town and caused this emergency. I have 2 children under 3 and 1 6 months old. Ferrellgas couldn't care less though. As far they are concerned I could have frozen over the holidays and they would still not have have a firm date when I can expect propane. It's sad that in my 1 time of emergency over the past 5 or more years I can't count on Ferrellgas to help.

I always have trouble signing in and when I call my password is different from what you have on file. This is very time consuming even if I have to change the password itis difficult.

I see the bad reviews here but personally have not experienced any problems at all. I'm set up on the keep full program, then fill I pay the bill. No problems over the last 5+ years. Had a gas leak issue once they came out immediately and fixed the issue.
