This store is definitely not what it once was. After the way I was treated I will never go in again. I made a large cash purchase, walked 2 steps out the door and changed my mind about giving them my hard earned cash after all. Decided to return the items but was told they would not return the cash I literally just handed them!!! They said it would have to be store credit. To be honest, I am not even certain that is legal, but I will find out!!The "manager" on the phone sounded high and the whole enterprise just seems crooked and sketchy now.

Sleeping tiger has alot of stuff I like, but most of what I like are the fairy figurines. They are awesome. It's a good store to shop.

This store is lovely! It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but most of the items are very high quality and beautiful. I love going here by myself or with friends, it never disappoints! It has helped my spiritual journey along, and my business grow. If you don’t buy anything, it’s worth visiting to look at all of the beautiful masterpieces! We haven’t gotten accused of stealing, but I do recommend being careful! The Sleeping Tiger in Portage mall and Grand Rapids mall is safe, as I’ve seen.

Avoid this store at all costs. Pam, AKA the manager is so paranoid about people shoplifting, that she will go as far as to accuse customers that are clearly minding their own business. She will make them empty every pocket, and get mad regardless if they did in fact steal anything. Not to mention, I've heard that she is harsh towards minorities, and I don't doubt it. Stay far away from this place!

Lady at the counter was extraordinarily rude when asked a simple question. Products are also clearly terrible quality. Will not be back.

NEVER SHOPPING HERE EVER AGAIN! We we’re walking looking and shopping! We then paid for what we got. Then this older lady stopped me and accused me and my family of stealing, and then told us to empty our pockets. She was extremely rude and was yelling at us. Terrible terrible service !

The staff is always great, friendly and informative. A lot of the rocks and crystals are not marked and I am not sure they are all marked correctly. Love the incense selection but do you really need one called p*ssy. Always an interesting selection of items. Prices are generally fair.

All sorts of fun knickknacks. Lamps, hackey sacks, bracelets, keychains, puzzle games. I stay away from the clothing section as clothes run high in price. A fun place to browse, not child stroller friendly, small space with tiny pathways.

It's hard to shop when customers being their out of control children; I haven't been to this store in awhile because of this. Now, I won't be back.

I always love to go there to get bamboo and their decor. but I won't be going ever again. First off when I was paying for the bamboo the person running the cash register was on call with a fellow worker whom they had on speaker. The person that was on the phone was very rude when the cash resister worker was asking a question WHILE they were checking my items out. after they ended the call the register worked(no name tag, had dark brown/black short hair that is swept to one side) noted that the other worker was in a bad mood. my friend and I got distracted by the items by the front desk and continued to look around after my purchase and to my disgust I found this "tank." I have been in the fish business for a bit off time now and I can tell you THAT IS NOT A TANK! I mentioned to my friend not to the worker that I felt bad for the fish since he does not have a filter nor heater. the worker (who I wasnt even talking to) quite rudely replied that "its actually okay for that type to be in there with the bacteria." For starters "that type of fish" is an adult male crown tail betta. which are TROPICAl FISH. which means they need a heater for their water to be at 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. they also need a filter. keeping a fish without a filter is the equalivent to never cleaning a hamster cage and letting the filth and waste build up until the animal gets sick and dies. if you zoom in on the picture you can see at the bottom of the tank a collection of uneaten food and fish p*** piling up. I also don't know what type of "bacteria" the worker thinks is in that tank to make this okay but no such thing exists. I will not be returning until that poor fish is in a real tank. fish, like all pets are living creatures that do not deserve to be mistreated. I understand that it is a common misconception among many non fish owners that bettas do good in small bowls with no heater or filter. but if any store worker simply did a google search they would find that bettas need better housing than that. they may survive in a tiny bowl but they will not be happy or live long just the same as a hamster wouldn't live long. I am writing this review in hopes that something will be done about this and to educate the staff and others about the needs of living creatures. not only is it bad for the betta they have but its also misinformation to all of the customers that visit and see these "tanks" that are advertised for fish when in fact there should be kept only for plant tanks. If for any reason there is an issue re-homing this beautiful fish please contact me. I will be more than happy to take him home with me where he would be very happy in any of my 5gal+ tanks that are fully cycled and ready to go. please do not hesitate to contact me, I would love to help
