Staff was helpful when needed and curtious. They didn’t have a lens selection on boots, and there were several isles of clothes that were a mess with fallen clothing and ext.

This T.J. Maxx was just like Five Below down the road. Cluttered and items everywhere. The men's area is small. I would say Battle Creeks is better.

I was shopping and I saw an interaction between an employee and probably a manager being rude to him all because he wanted to wear a jacket then goes on to say I don’t know how your cold like what it’s literally winter right now

The t.j Maxx located in Portage, Michigan is not very helpful. I bought a pair of shoes here and the size must have ran small or something. Anyhow, I brought the shoes back because they were too small for me and a customer service representative said that they could give me in-store credit for the shoes because I didn't have the actual receipt with me. But then shortly after decided that no, I couldn't return them all together because the souls had been a bit worn.. not very worn but with some dirt at the bottom. I really hate when one person says that they can do something and then management says they can do nothing at all. They should have just got a manager in the first place

I love this store they really cleaned it up lately and they do change out their products it seems quite a bit and their deals are on the somewhat high side for many things but if you look you can find really really really low good deals on very nice stuff so and their customer service is generally pretty nice so they Rock!!

It was nice and clean, the associates at the register were very friendly. Saw a few associates on the floor that did not say hi or offer any assistance, but other than that, the store was great.
