Never order windows from their home services. We ordered 2 and waited 2 months only to get one. It took 6 months for the second one. Neither one was anything special. Don't try to get answers. You will get the run around and lies. We were told we were going to get a discount for our inconvenience. It's been 3 weeks and nothing. Horrible experience!! Use anyone but home depot. Cheaper price does not pay off!

Since moving to the Portage area this fall, we have spent a lot of time getting new stuff for our home at The Home Depot. I've been impressed with their inventory and helpfulness of their team members.

The site no matter how many times even if the same day that I have visited wants to tell me that the item I sourced is available in a far, far away city. today it said It had three items in stock at the Portage store. Four associates couldn't tell me were the items were and treks from one end of the store to the other twice were unproductive. Finally a customer service person remembered some one coming it the day before and wanting to buy all of the particular item and similar items they had. Okay, fine, why in the fresh Hades couldn't somebody realise that the system needed updating. It used to be the app on my phone would tell me the location of the item but that doesn't work anymore either. They got 90% percent of my business when Menards abandoned Portage but I think I am done here. Suggesting that I just order for store pickup is not practicle if I want to inspect it to see if it is what will work for me and they really don't have it anyway. Oh and an associate told they didn't have another item that I eventually found on my own and then advised me that I could use a 20 amp rated outlet on a 15 amp circuit! WTH?

Terrible experience they rent you tools online but then when you go to pick it up they either are not in stock or are all broken. Then they try to upgrade you to more expensive tools With higher deposit fee assuming you have the money to pay for it, however, The money spent on the Original rental and deposit. Would not be refunded back to my account for 2 to 3 days. They still expected me to pay more for something I had already paid for and which they had failed to hold up their end of the bargain. Don't rent tools from this place. Terrible management of tool rentals and tool maintenance.

Some Staff is very rude. When asking a simple question, we where told that they did bot have what we where looking for by one gentleman, another gentleman told us they would go find us help, and did not return thankfully a very nice woman came up and told us the exact location of where we needed to go, additionally the gentleman working the self check out was very short tempered and belittling towards us, after he switched us from a cash only register to a card only register after we realized we needed one more item less than 50 feet from the check out. And then acted very unprofessional towards us due to needing to switch us back to our original register. I understand that it is very busy and you have to keep customers moving gowever there is an appropriate, kind, and professional way to do so, and i did not feel that it was handled in that way minus the nice lady who helped us finally get the items we needed

I ordered a pre hung door through Home Depot. Had it installed by a professional. After installation, I installed the door hardware. The latch from the knob would not go in to the hole to hold the door shut. I checked everything for level and square and it looks great. I called to inquire as to what I could do, was basically told that I could tear it out and return it for a 15% restocking fee. Otherwise I was out of luck. Almost $600 for the door, terrible customer service.

We recently bought a large sofa from World Market, who suggested the van rental from Home Depot for transport. They definitely offer a good deal of van or truck hourly rentals. It is amazing the number of things they have for letting. Friendly and easygoing transaction, no need to book in advance, we were driving a spacious van in no time. Leaving our car in their parking lot was also practical. The only detail to keep in mind is having to return it with a full gas tank, which in our case was just over a dollar, but you have to hand in the receipt. Recommended.

The third party company working with Home Depot called RAS company and its representative named Crue arrived at 7am on November 11 2021 to install a Samsung Dishwasher that I paid a total of 579.00 and an additional adaptor, haul away, cord, protection plan and install for an extra 287.00. As soon as the appliance was taken out of the box, I was notified by Crue that there was a ding or damage right on the front of the appliance. I told them I would ask for damage allowance from Home Depot and Crue proceeded to install the unit. After installing the unit, Crue proceeded to inform me that he could not secure the unit in place and he showed me that the unit wobbled and was not securely fastened into place. He then tried to test the unit to see if it was in working order and then told me the unit was not working and that it was a “dud.” I asked him to take the unit away and not to leave it and he refused. I have him on video telling me it was a dud. I then got on the phone with Home Depot while Crue told me he would get some paperwork from his truck and then proceeded to drive away from my property while I was on the phone speaking with a representative named Alberto from the Dominican Republic and then with Samsung rep name Nicole O. Who scheduled November 16 appointment for proper installation. After speaking with Nicole I took photos of the messy workspace Crue left and noticed the unit was crookedly positioned and missing the bottom panel, exposing wiring. The top panel was also positioned wrong and the top buttons for the appliance was not accessible at all. Nicole O. Has made an appointment for reinstallation and claims Home Depot will replace the entire unit if it is still not in working order after proper installation on November 16, 2021. Aside from everything I have stated here, I still am requesting damage allowance even if the unit is in working order and a total replacement if it is not found in working order.

I would never, ever recommend Home Depot for carpet/install. There was a giant gap left between the our other floor & where the pad was placed under the carpet so when you step on it a.) tacks go through your foot & b.) it’s now pulling away from our hard floor & unraveling. We’ve had them (CFI) out twice already to fix & it’s even worse than before... They were scheduled to come out 6-1-20 but couldn’t due to covid & its taken until now to get ahold of someone who was not out of office or on vacation or just simply no where to be found to respond & they will be coming out to look at it 6-1-21, exactly a year to the date. Their initial idea is to stretch it, however, he said it would have to be stretched at least an inch or two & that will offset the registers & fireplace so who knows.

Atrocious. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing vis a vis the local store vs. homedepot.com. Local store people want to help but can't due to the utterly byzantine, Kafkaesque "Let's keep you from reaching a real person at any cost" practices at homedepot.com. If and when you get a real person, there's more transferring, giving you an 800 # to call (where it's virtually impossible to reach a real person), losing your phone number, & more. All I did was try to order a washer on line. Website so buggy I had to go to local Home Depot store appliance department to order. Even there, it took more than a half hour to place the order. It was complicated by the fact that I'd signed up & been approved for a Home Depot credit card so I could get a nice discount on my order. That was a train wreck too with employee running into all kinds of phone & website snags with their credit card people who (of course) don't work for Home Depot but are some obscure bank/financial company HD has contracted with. MORE complexity. Then they tried to deliver the washer 3 days after I ordered. It was coming from Chicago, not the local store. I waited all day yesterday for promised delivery. Finally left the house at 4:45 pm to get errands done. They attempted & failed delivery at 6:05 p.m. So that night I spend 15 mins. on phone with Trevor at local store's service desk trying to make sure delivery people get the message that they must phone me to access my apartment building because doorbells don't work. So they try delivery again today. I'm home all day. I get an email early evening that they tried to deliver at 3:59 p.m. but I supposedly "wasn't home." I WAS HOME, and I DID NOT get a phone call from them at 3:59. I call local store back, seeking Trevor. "Trevor went home for the day." I ask for appliance department manager: "He went home for the day." I try to get woman at appliance desk to help me. "You'll have to call 800/466-3337 and speak with someone. I can't help with homedepot.com orders." I say I want to cancel my order. She says, "Unfortunately I can't help you with that because you ordered it online, not here. You'll have to call 800/466-3337." Call to the 800 number is yet another adventure in textbook example of Kafkaesque. (Google it.) You've been forewarned: DO NOT ORDER A MAJOR APPLIANCE FROM homedepot.com. Your chances are better for winning big in the lottery than getting an appliance delivered by homedepot.com. UPDATE, 12-1-20: The day after I submitted above review, I arrived home to find boxed washer sitting in hall outside my apartment door. This happened even though I called the night before to cancel the order, I was so fed up. Neighbor said, "I'd keep it if I were you." So I have. It was easy to move inside because it's a portable washer.

Quick and easy! We use them for most of our appliance purchases (the Home Depot no interest plans are very helpful) and they have a rental storefront for those items that you need but don't need to purchase. I've seen leftists post on other reviews that they won't shop here because the CEO is a Trump supporter... well that's to bad if you live your life that way but hey never said they were smart!
