I absolutely love this Family Dollar. The employees are always smiling & joking. I already knew I’d be shopping here when I moved to town, because Tom’s rips off the residents of Portland daily, but it helps when you love the store too!

I miss some of the old employees but I really like the new(er) manager. The store is normally well stock and has a good variety. With current gas prices, glad they're in town.

Kay is the worst old rude lady I’ve ever met will not be stepping foot in that store until she’s gone. She needs to go ruining your costumer service with rude snotty remarks. Really hope she breaks her leg on a scooter

Doors locked at 7:30 on a Wednesday (store hours posted on the door says they're open until 9:00pm. No note on the door saying they'd be closing early.

The old lady that is a manager is sort of rude and disrespectful to her customers sort of like a hater

I went in just to get laundry soup, it was on sale and I had a coupon for a dollar off. At the check out, the original price of the gain i got was 5.50, it was on sale for 3.95 and i had a dollar off coupon. She asked if i had smart coupons and i said yes. She told me to put my number into the key pad instead of scanning the item. Said that the system wouldnt take the coupon and repeated my total 3 more times. I asked her if she could discount it for the price of the coupon. She then said that it was somehow my phones fault and that i couldnt use the coupon and my total would remain the same. I asked if there was a manager who could over ride it, she laughed and then said she was the manager. I told her i wanted the items if she could just discount the 1.00. She did not, and wouldnt even acknowlege me at this point, and now i guess im going out of town for laundry soap. I am appaled and so offeneded that family dollar would hire someone who does not care about the well being of their customers and would award that person a role of leadership. She ignored me, and that really upset me. As if i wasnt a person any longer and didnt deserve common decentcy. During this Fiasco, i didnt raise my voice, or belittle the employee, yet she degraded me as a person. All over 1.00... ive worked retail and know managers can over ride the system for quality issue and discount anywhere from 10-25% no issue, otherwise she would have needed to call her district manager. My coupon wasnt expired, it was clipped and she did nothing. When its a world where you live paycheck to paycheck, that dollar counts and there is not one reason she couldnt have done that for me. I will be contacting the better business Bureau, and i will also be contacting the corperate family dollar chain, as customers deserve to be treated like people just as much as they are a person.
