This gas station is usually higher priced that all others. If you want Marathon brand fuel, go to the one over just off 127 on the far end of Houghton Lake. Also, Don't use the restroom here.... The creek out back is cleaner.

Hello I apparently dropped my debit card while getting out, unnoticed I had left then realized shortly after that my card was gone,so I went back to the store,I gave my truck a quick look over again while I was my worker jumped out and said he will run inside to go see if someone returned it. As I was still looking around in truck my worker came out and through it on the seat,I said you have to be kidding me,he said nope, during the confusion i was totally thinking but later i asked my self wow, they gave hime my debit card

Service was a bit slow and not too friendly, very easy on/off with the pumps though and right along M-55. Pretty decent selection of snacks and drinks inside

NEVER will I EVER spend another cent in this sham of a business. 15 years ago, when I lived in HL year-round, I would gas up here because of the station's proximity to my house. I prefer to pay at the pump, yet without fail, a receipt would never print, requiring me to go inside and stand behind 3 people conversing with the cashier for 5 minutes just to get a receipt. (Now, I understand this is also a business tactic - get the customer inside where we make all our money, but that's neither here nor there.) Fast forward 10 years. I'm in town, visiting from Chicago. Same deal. No receipt. I comment to the cashier that it seems to happen every. Single. Time. "Must be bad luck," she says. Last guy used that pump got his." Oh? Bad luck? 20 times in a row? With a 10 year gap in between? So I stopped giving them my business. Drove out of my way to fill up my vehicle, even if it cost more per gallon. Well today I was in a hurry and needed 2 gallons for my lawnmower. Put $5 in a can, went in to pay, and ASKED THE CASHIER IF I COULD GET CASH BACK. She told me they don't do that anymore. No worries. Still want to pay with my card. Ran it once. Twice. Three times. She told me their "system was down" and ASKED ME IF I HAD ANY CASH. Now, I did, and I eventually paid cash. All $5. But that's not the point. I'd just asked if I could get cash back, which, in many cases means a person doesn't HAVE any. And what if I hadn't? What if I'd just put $50 in my tank and couldn't pay? (I called about a half hour later and asked to speak to someone in charge. While waiting, I hear a cashier in the background giving the same spiel to another customer about a "system being down.") So I handed her a $20 and while she made change I simply said to her that this was why I don't frequent this station anymore, citing the "pay at the pump" problems. Very politely, mind you. Her response? "If you don't like it go somewhere else. Here's your change. Get out of here." Thank you Tina. (Or was it Trina?) I will. I'm sure your bosses will be happy to know that not I, my (very large) family, nor any of my friends will EVER spend another cent in your shite establishment. There's a BP just up M-18 and a Shell just around the corner heading into town. Houghton Lake is an economy built on tourism, which means customer service. Clearly you don't understand that.
