Purchased a sport 19 knife last summer which has been incredible!! Great weight, fits nicely in the hand. Even after a year of regular use, it is still incredibly sharp!

I bought a Rapid River pocket knife for my husband for Christmas. I knew it was small and it was expensive but, when it came I was so very disappointed in how it was packaged. For what it cost, it wasn't even in a nice display box. It came in a Rapid River box which was nice but it was wrapped in tissue paper just rattling around the box. Not a good way to receive a gift like this. Can't you put them on a foam pad or something so it looks nice and won't just bounce around in the box?

My partner and I purchased a set of kitchen knives and a block here, and we received excellent service. The showroom is gorgeous, and each knife in it is well made and beautiful. There are a variety of price points, so most price points can be accommodated. Their workshop is right on site, and they do take custom orders. We were told that sharpening is free forever, so we will be back every year with our new kitchen knives.We couldn't help ourselves and returned to purchase additional knives just because we are so happy with each one.Would highly recommend

First class! Had some very unique wood blanks and asked Matt if he could use it to build some handles for two knives. Matt and his team exceeded expectations for my custom request. The final products were beautiful. They can absolutely build a one of a kind piece! I’m very grateful, thank you!

I have purchased a couple knives here. One was a gift and one was for myself. It is the go-to knife that I use for everything. I had a little piece of the handle come off at least 4 years after I bought the knife and they repaired it while I waited.

Driven by so many times and said that I wanted to stop in. Finally stopped in the other day and am so glad I did. Such a cool operation and the people were so friendly and helpful. Ended up buying a knife to give to my young son one day. Will return and tell as many people as I know to stop in.

Fancy showroom. Is too clean a valid criticism? Disappointing details of knives, as in none included. Got the Sport 19. Great hand fit, super precise construction, good sheath fit and retention. No info about this knife included. Just a cheap card paper box. What's the steel, handle material, model or serial? Don't know. I asked what the steel was and was just told D2. I intend to use this, not keep it pretty. Hopefully hand it down. Would be nice if I could pass down any actual information about the knife as well.Edit: Since the owner responded with details I'm adding a star

I had been looking for a nice pocket knife and had always heard great things about this place. Finally able to stop by the store on our trip through the UP. I ended up buying a beautiful wood handle pocket knife, great knife and a piece of art! Staff was great to work with, great store and ended up buying a few other items!

Rapid River Knifeworks is equal parts natural history museum and art house. The knife makers and owner are truly artists of the highest quality with their series of knives… my preference is to the more simple works of art - their drop point knife with white tail antler and leather handle, but there are fantastic options for hunters, anglers, and collectors. If you’re in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and cruising Lake Michigan’s lakeshore drive, i.e. State Highway 2, a visit to Rapid River Knifeworks is a must…
