Definitely will not be going back to Richmond location. Very disappointed with the whole experience. The staff was more concerned with chit-chat and coffee than doing my taxes correctly.

So unhappy with this branch! I usually do my own taxes but this year decided to take the easy route and let a professional take over. Huge regret. Simple married filing joint return with a couple kids. I filed my taxes with Maryanne back in January. The 23rd to be exact. The amount of money charged to do a simple return was a little insane but because I had a decent return i was okay with it. I got my federal in Feb and have been trying to hunt down my state since. I've called this branch back numberous times with no help from them as to why my info wasn't matching and I was unable to get into the state portal or talk to a human because of it. Finally after 2 months of calling I actually got a hold of Maryanne herself on March 22nd. She told me she couldn't see any reason as to why it wasn't allowing me in and that she herself was having issues with her state this year. So I thanked her and went back to doing my footwork. Ding, the very next day Michigan accepted my taxes but here's the kicker. They were never filed until I spoke with Maryanne on March 22nd. Mind you I paid to have these filed back in January. 2 months difference to the day and because hrblock had already been paid, I had to do my own footwork. Had I not have my taxes still wouldn't be done! Absolutely ridiculous to me! Never again will I make this mistake and I suggest anyone that does to make sure your stuff actually gets done. Maryanne didn't actually tell me herself that this was the case. The state did. Had she have been the one to apologize and admit the mistake I probably wouldn't be writing this as I understand people are human and things happen. Knowing how many times I've called and that she figured out the problem and didn't have the decency to tell me really bothered me considering I paid for these services.
I was told when they did them in January they sent them and they were rejected. ( I feel as a way to blame someone else other than their company) Even if this were the case though I don't think it should've taken 2 months, 6 phone calls from me and my consistency to have a service I paid for completed as it should have been back when it was originally done. Doesn't help to be an early filer when they never got filed. I get this year is wonky with taxes but this could've been handled in a much better way.
Updated to add that I called the number that commented on this post and now have been waiting 2 weeks to hear back from someone to resolve my issues. I was told my case needed to be reviewed by someone above who I can get on the phone. Apparently there's only one of them and thats why it takes so long. If anything positive actually ever comes of this, I'll reupdate then.

I was absolutely dreading this tax year due to some of my taxable situations. The tax preper who worked with me explained everything politely and eloquently and solved more problems than I knew I had and answered more questions than I knew I had. Phenomenal service.

Do not go here to get ur taxes done im still waiting to get my return its goin on week 7 to find out they put the wrong ssn and all they did was laugh and say theres nothing we can do
