I had an exam done with Dr. Trecapelli and he advised me I had 4 cavities among 3 teeth that needed to be filled. I have never had pain or any issues with my teeth. I scheduled and had preformed the fillings with Dr. Trecapelli and I am unable to bite or chew with these 3 teeth now since the cavities have been filled due to immense pain.I made the issue known with Dr. Trecapelli and he has seen me 3 additional times in regards to this issue stating the issue was my bite was off. He said that there is no reason otherwise as I had additional x-rays done and the cavities were not near my nerves in my tooth from his professional opinion. He recommended the cavities be refilled as a fix to my issue. I had the cavities refilled by him and the pain has worsened. I advised Dr. Trecapelli my issue and he advised me the only solution was to either pull the teeth or see a root canal specialist to see if a root canal would fix my pain I am experiencing on all 3 teeth he has worked on. I would never have had these cavities filled if I had known this would be the result and I am now experiencing lots of pain and additional procedures due to the results of his work. While I was in his office, I had also overheard a woman experiencing the same issue with cavities filled and complaining about the pain in result to having her cavities filled by Dr. Trecapelli. She was scheduling an appointment for him to fix hers as well. I have reported him to the board of dentistry for his poor work and creation of issues rather than resolving them and I am extremely upset with having to deal with this now. I hope someone out there thinks twice after reading this before scheduling an appointment with him.

Unfortunately, my insurance (Golden Dental) gives little to be happy about - it requires me to use Great Expressions. First experience in Clinton Twp, was bad from the filthy door to the poor customer service. Rochester is better overall for the space and service. Unfortunately, the front desk folks insisted I could just let them know when we move out of state and that would end our payment agreement. But no, of course not. Now, no one answers the phone at the office or with corporate and I keep getting a variety of different amounts of what they say I owe by email. And why on earth did the orthodontist even suggest getting braces if he knew we were moving in 6 months?? To get the money without providing the service of course. A little negligence to go... If you can pick another insurance for a non-corporate chain, by all means save yourself and do so! Avoid this company if you have a choice.

As a first time patient, I was very pleased with such a thorough visit. They accept my insurance and I was able to get a deep cleaning, all kinds of detailed X-rays, fluoride and a mouth cancer screening in just an hour or so. They were ready for me promptly at the scheduled time of my appointment. I am bringing my kids here next month and I am so very happy that they will get top notch treatment/service. Thank you for a pleasant and thoughtful visit Great Expressions team!

Dr. Trecapelli and his right hand woman, Doris are a well-oiled machine. After finding Dr. Trecapelli, I drive past a multitude of other in-network dentists for his care. He is kind, encouraging, honest, empathic and excellent at explaining all options. On top of all of this, he makes dental work painless. I am terrified of dental related pain. With the extensive issues I have had and work he has done, I am always amazed how he pulls off making these procedures easy to get through. Dr. Trecapelli, Doris and the entire staff are a kind-hearted, professional team that will make your dental experience a great one. I recommend Dr. Trecapelli wholeheartedly.

The way the Hygienist cleaned, I can do it at home. I don't need to go to Dental office for cleaning. The service was good 3-4 years ago. The cleaning quality is gradually getting worse. Not happy at all.

Doctor Trecapelli is terrific! He came from another Great Expressions office and is great at explaining treatment options and being honest about what's best for the patient. The office team is the BEST as usual!

So, last summer my previous dentist of 5 years decided to stop accepting my dental plan. He wanted to be an "elite" dentist, and halfway through some of my treatment (specifically, a cavity and a cleaning) I had to quit going. Since I didn't want to let a cavity become a root canal, I had to quickly find a new dentist. (PS. I still hate my old dentist for doing this to me.) I looked through a few options via my health insurance at the time and wanted a place that was flexible, local and not far from home. I didn't want a tiny practice either because usually it's hard to get scheduled so I don't have to miss half a day of work. I ended up calling Great Expressions and was thrilled that they could take me. They have great hours and are open early in the morning and have late nights as well. Walking into the office, the lobby has a TV, plenty of seating and I'm always greeted in a timely fashion. My hygienist isn't always the same, but that's fine with me. My cleanings only take about 30 minutes, sometimes longer if I need X-rays or an extra procedure. The only downside? Sometimes, they don't run on time for scheduled appointments. This has happened more then once, and it infuriates me. I usually have to leave work early, take a shorter lunch and alter my schedule so I can get here at my allotted, pre scheduled 6 months in advance appointment time so I can sit in the lobby and wait 15 minutes PAST the time my appointment should have started when I would rather be literally anywhere else in the world but at a dentists office. I was going to round down on the stars to 3 stars, but I felt that was a bit harsh over the running late aspect. It does hit a nerve with me since it's happened more then once. But, since I don't mind it here, I was generous. If the place was a total bomb, I would have rounded down, but it's not, so 4 stars it is.

Dr.McClelland and her office team are phenomenal! This is actually the 1st Dentist and her team that make me feel comfortable and I don’t say ugh, because I am going to see them. They are 5 star from the moment you walk in, until you leave the office. Very thorough.

I have much respect for Dentist’s and Dental Hygienist’s but I still get nervous and extremely scared to go to the dentist and yet, I was SO pleased with my appointment today. My DH (Merisa) was AMAZING. She was fun, knowledgeable, kind and super patient knowing I was nervous. Dentist Paige McClelland was also everything I hoped for. She was sweet and so kind and very informative. From the time I walked in to the time I left I felt like family there.

Came in for an emergency root canal due to a broken tooth. Staff was very nice. Office very comfortable. I really liked Everyone so much. I have major anxiety at the dentist and they took a lot of time with me and made me as comfortable as they could. I went back a couple weeks later for my temporary crown and more of the same. Kindness and comfort at every level. I go back in three weeks for my permanent crown and I expect another outstanding visit.
