Store could use a good scrubbing-it’s pretty skeevy. High prices. Not enough workers. Long lines to buy and donate.

As inflation hits everywhere, Salvation Army is no different but if you shop smart, you can still get a great deal. They offer a color of the week and anything that tag color is 50% off. Some days if you buy five clothes items of that color, they are all five for five dollars. The store is huge and fairly well organized. The customer service is good, but sometimes slightly understaffed.

Used to come here regularly years ago. Haven’t stopped by in a long time and decided to today. Huge mistake, will not be back anytime soon. Employees are woefully incompetent at keeping the store moving. How do you have half a dozen workers mindlessly wandering around the store while 1 person is ringing for a line of 50+ people. The other cashier decided that was an ideal time for a break and made the line double in size. 45 minutes of waiting minimum because chitchat is prioritized at the counter instead of actually ringing.

Instead of focusing on customer and communicating with them. the employee are busy discussing lunch breaks and what has to be done after 5 mins of waiting and having to ask if my two items have been scanned yet I get “ oh the system is warming up”

Couldn’t have more rude people working the drop off dock. Woman employee told me to “stop talking” upon pulling up early to park my car while I waited for them to open. Zero manners.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I was at this location on 11/7, and 12 minutes before closing, one of the workers, middle aged, with dirty blonde hair asked me why I wasn't leaving the store. I told her it was 12 minutes until closing. She scoffed at me, and proceeded to tell another coworker nearby she can't believe what I said, and said something along the lines of "people these days". It made me feel terrible as a customer. Honestly, I felt like she was borderline racist.

The good thing about this place is the size, amount of stuff available and the variety. You can really find some good brands. The huge negative about this place is the pricing. They overprice things like crazy. I've found things piling and with stains and they still ask $20 for it because they think it's a decent brand. I feel like they would make just as many sales, maybe even more if they lowered their pricing or at least make it make sense!

Prices are absurdly high for a thrift store with donated items and the line is always extremely long and slow moving. The store itself is disorganized, unkempt, and dirty.

I've supported salvation army for 25 years and after comming to this story I'm going to rethink who we donate our items to. The prices at this location are beyond silly.. we donate so pur items can go to people who needs inexpensive items to survive. I get that they use money earned to help put in other ways but thos is just crazy. Prices are higher then some items original tags which are still on them. Ever piece of men's cloth I picked up was $10 to $30. I literly can buy them new online for near this rate. Poshmark is even lower and that exact item is shipped directly to the buyer. I suggest everyone to rethink donating or shopping with salvation army. Maybe they will go back and look at their core values and how the support the locals.

This location has the best selection of household items that I have seen in Michigan! However, the line is really long on Saturdays.

Beware of this location!! Lori the store manager is an a-hole to the fullest. She is rude and belligerent. She admits that they purposely hike up prices so they can make a profit, even the core value of the company isn’t to. It’s a thrift store, what’s the purpose? 90% of the electronics dept and clothes are complete garbage.

I've been shopping at this salvation army for over 10 years and after my experience today I will never ever go back to that one and probably another salvation army ever again. And Heather she works there and she is rude rude asking to see purses and she wants to be rude couldn't simply ask her another lady's question she just wanted to know what tags were on sale that day so I answered it for her. then when she goes to ring me out overcharged me extra items on my receipt and then I call back and there's nothing they can do about it never go there again. Besides that it's overpriced the people who work there pick through and get all the good stuff first and if they don't get it then they use it for a display and you can't buy it anyhoo never again worst experience ever.

Store is never organized or clean, prices are way to high, not much of a good selection, staff is rude and the manager doesn't make situations better. The manager argued with me over a canister set that he didn't pack properly, as a result I ended up with a cracked canister set. Carts are broken and unsafe and lines are entirely to long.
