The staff and nail technicians at Paint Nail Bar are friendly and professional. I visit the Rochester location on a weekly basis and have never been disappointed. I love the Dazzle Dry product they offer.

I am not open to sharing my identity because of the toxic energy that was brought upon others who shared their own experiences.
While I do think the nail technicians are polite, I do think they are overworked and it takes away from the experience you want out of treating yourself.
During my last appointment at the end of April my technician was 10 minutes late because she had to rush to take a lunch break, then she frantically did my nails, and wasn’t even the one to finish them. It made me incredibly anxious. I was not upset with HER though. I was upset FOR her, because I know she works so hard and was booked solid. My nails were not even close to the same shape but I didn’t complain, I actually just filed them when I got home because I know how to do it myself. I go to the salon as a way to relax.
NOTE: I thought about leaving a review sooner but decided to hold my tongue because of the way other reviews have been responded to. Also love giving people the benefit of the doubt because it was how I was raised.
This leads me to my last and final appointment I’ll ever have with this salon. You’re probably wondering why I went back. Honestly, chalk it up to not wanting to research another salon nearby.
I booked my appointment online and did check a box that I’d need the gel soaked off, and when I got there the nail technician didn’t realize that they needed to be soaked off. Due to how the April appointment went, I fought to hold back my tears because I really didn’t want my nails to be rushed through again. Luckily they did turn out really good, but a half hour after I left the salon I noticed weird bubbles all over them. The shaping is good, but if you look closely the polish kind of looks like garbage.
To be honest, I’m sick of this salon. I’ve never really felt welcomed and I’ve felt very judged every single time I’ve come in. It really sucks because I had some good appointments, but I don’t agree with how it is managed.
Nail technicians should not feel like they have to be in a permanent time crunch, and I know that some of them don’t even have the time to eat during their shifts. I don’t think it’s fair to the clients to visibly see how anxious their nail technicians are. I always have left generous tips even if I’m not fully satisfied because I know that they’re handling more than they can. It’s really a shame that after all the negative reviews that it hasn’t changed.
In order to run a good business your employees should be your number one priority, clients a close second. Here’s the common thread, the wonderful nails techs work their butts off to get through a ridiculous amount of appointments per day, to the point where clients are noticing. Consider easing up a little bit and be realistic.
And those stupid effing slips that are dropped on the table during appointments are annoying and even make me anxious. It doesn’t feel professional, it just feels passive.
Lastly, it’s important to treat each person who walks through the door with the same positive attitude. It’s not cool to make people feel out of place.
Most importantly, treat your employees better.

While the shop is cute they have a mess of a reservation process. The last two times I have made appointments for myself and another person (over the phone) when I arrived they told me that the reservation had only been made for one person and we were out of luck. No offer to reschedule even. I can understand it happening once but twice in a row is ridiculous.

I recently visited this nail salon and felt compelled to share my experience. Although I've never written a review before, my recent visits to this salon left me with mixed feelings. The salon itself is beautiful and clean, and the technicians are friendly and skilled. The owner/franchise seems to prioritize quantity over quality, pushing the staff to work quickly at the expense of service excellence. I felt rushed during my appointments, which took away from the relaxing experience I was hoping for. During one visit, my nail was filed so low when taking off my previous gel polish that it bled, the tech felt very bad, informed who I assume to be the manager, who ignored the issue at checkout. After my last visit, I called the next day to ask if it would be possible to have an extra layer of polish added to my nails, without them having to redo everything – I don’t do nails, I was curious if this was a simple fix or not, but made it very clear I was happy with the manicure, just wanted a little more color but only if a simple fix. The person who answered the phone handed me over to the owner, Angie, who acted confused at my question and was rude with her responses. She let me know she would need to consult with a tech and get back to me – fine, no problem - 24 hours later no callback. Overall, a lack of customer care made me reconsider returning to this nail salon, despite the talents of the technicians.

I went to Paint nail bar in Rochester for the first time today and had a wonderful experience! Olivia did my gel manicure and Megan did my gel pedicure and they were amazing! They both paid close attention to detail, best nail experience I’ve ever had!

I got gel x done here for my wedding, I believe her name was Megan? She did an AMAZING job. She paid very close attention to detail. They lasted a whole month!
I am however, disappointed in my last appointment with Angelina. She did a nice job, my nails looked beautiful, however, they started lifting off within a week… I then noticed my nails were very smooth and not really buffed out at all to get the nail to adhere. I know nothing about doing nails, so I just relaxed and didn’t really pay attention to her technique, but I now realize she did not prep my nails properly.
I brought this up with Paint Nail Bar and they were apologetic and offered me a redo to do at anytime, which I really appreciate.
One bad experience with a nail tech will not deter me from coming back here, it’s a very clean salon with a relaxing atmosphere. I always leave the salon with beautiful nails.

I had a group of ladies come here for a bachelorette party and it was wonderful! Very clean and great atmosphere. Mimosas were great too! All the ladies loved their nails and the bride was very happy. Will definitely come back here next time I am in the area. Best gel manicure I have ever gotten.

My nieces were treated like royalty for their first ever manicure! Paint Nail Bar always goes above and beyond to accommodate all of their clients in an elevated, hygienic, and clean beauty atmosphere. These girls contained themselves in the spa, but were squealing all day long. They showed off their perfect nails to anyone that would look or listen, and it was the perfect treat for their family trip to Hawaii. Angie, thank you so much for providing the best service someone could hope to experience! We love it here, and even more that it is a women owned business!

Had my nails done here for the first time, unfortunately the gel started peeling a few days after getting them done. They contacted me to check on my nails and I told them what happened and they set up an appointment for it to get taken care of since it was within their warrenty! I really appreciated that kind of client service! I don’t usually get my nails done, but I think I’ll be coming back! Staff is all so nice here!! :)

The only place I go for my nails. Very clean, friendly and professional. Also they have Dazzle Dry polish with is a game changer for me. Love that it is completely dry in 5 minutes and lasts!

Paint Nail Bar is fantastic. One of the best I’ve ever been to. You can have a mimosa while you’re getting your nails done and they also have dazzle polish that is out of this world!! My nails don’t hold polish very well and this polish stays on and can be removed with normal nail polish remover. Also dries in five minutes. This salon is a breath of fresh air and a great place to relax. I will only go here from now on.!!
