“I had a wonderful experience at this boutique. It is very well organized and brings a feeling of a luxury store instead of consignment. I will definitely visit again when I’m in Birmingham.”
“this location definitely has a better selection of clothes to choose from then others! name brand and good condition… very clean, organized and nice people… mary and shayna are great!”
“Small shop but FULL of great possibilities for your wardrobe! Current trends, clothing is in Almost New/Good condition. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Love that they have a sale rack, Lol. I will be back.”
“Thank you for your feedback, Ms. Lehre. I understand your frustration and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. When reviewing items for resale, I follow strict standards to ensure all clothing is clean, odor-free, and in excellent condition for our customers. Unfortunately, the pieces presented did not meet those criteria, and I respectfully explained why they couldn’t be accepted. I understand this may have been disappointing, and I truly value every customer’s perspective. My goal is always to maintain a high level of professionalism while upholding the quality our shoppers expect.”
“One of the best thrift stores in metro Detroit!!!! The store is always clean, staff is always friendly, and I never leave empty handed. They are consistently restocking and have the greatest deals. I have been to every thrift in the area and this one remains at the top of my list.”
“The Lowry Estate turned me onto the Ferndale Vintage Market, and it led to me going to the store which has such a gorgeous and chic collection of items. I bought 2 fabulous dresses (check the purple dress pictured below), and Corliss was so warm and friendly with an amazing eye. I'd totally recommend coming in to see her or hopefully you can catch her at Eastern Market.”
“This is a great place! I noticed, however, they are in need of an awning in the back to protect donated goods and the workers. It would be so helpful if anyone can volunteer materials and/or building services.”
“The clothing racks seemed a little bare to me, it’s a pretty big store though with lots of other items like furniture and toys. I was happy with what I found and they offer both teacher and student discounts on Thursdays which is super nice.”
“My family and I went to this store. The salvation, oh my God, this is the most cleanest in the most organized store. I've ever been in my 53 years of life. Amazing the Gjinaj family is very happy epic. What a great experience”
“I stop in when in the Shelby Township area. Organized, clean, nice selection of items. Have picked up some great items here over the years. Not as big as the Utica or Rochester stores, but that is ok. ✅”
“Ok here is a guy's review. I have been to this store many times with my wife. The store is always clean and well organized. They always seem very willing to help, some maybe more then others. We stopped in today and Stephanie offered assistance right away, was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.... thank you Stephanie”
“First time shopping at this location. It has lots of clothing items. Not as many home and furniture pieces as I hoped. Fast service and quick check out line. I would try it again and hope they received more donations by the next time I pop in.”
“Been shopping here over 10 yrs, thru many employees and mgrs, decent prices to insane prices. Long enough to know that the sharpie written 2Y 5B etc prices mean 2.99 5.99 etc, that they no longer bag items, no help with furniture loading, and that this location someone stole the large furniture dolly that they haven't remedied.
I know this location deals with a rude clientele and much shop lifting/ price switching. That shouldn't condone rude, lax employees but I don't shop here for customer service. I greet all the staff with kindness and a smile and its usually returned.
Then there's the donation area. I "think" many may be fulfilling community service. They really don't care. They're unloading peoples crap everyday. There was one tall younger man that was allllways unbelievably rude and miserable. So much that I dreaded going there so we take our donations to Vets Returning Home.
There is also a shelf stocker that acts like you are always in her way. I try to respect her job and give her a wide berth. Yet if she comes to an aisle in disarray she slams things around and openly complains to a fellow coworker while straightening.
It's frustrating when things have no price tag but usually the cashier is fair.
Their price categories are set. Example t-shirts 4.99 pj's 3.99 regardless of condition, they don't examine, they're not a boutique, they price per category.
I've seen managers come and go, try to organize the store, make the furniture area look nice but they never last. For the amount of small things they decline I'm surprised some of the heavy items they actually bother to haul to the floor.
So, I'll continue to shop here, but know you're just kinda on your own. They're there to stock your donations and ring you up. Happy hunting!”
“Great prices on many items if you find items on the 50% off days in that color. Found pieces with store tags still on them even. However, some of these items were priced at $4 more than the store tag that was still on them, thus the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.”
“Sold a couple pairs of shoes and a few jackets. Within a reasonable timeframe my items were processed and I received a payout higher than I was expecting. Staff was friendly and efficient. If I ever have unwanted clothes I will bring them here in the future.”
“The Resale Connection in Rochester, Michigan is a fun little store to visit. It sells gently used items such as clothing, shoes and handbags for women, home decorating items, some hardcover books as well as some glassware. They do have consignment items such as clothing, handbags shoes and jewelry The staff is volunteer and 100 % of their profits go to help quite a few different charities. You can also donate gently used items there as well.”
