I’m a buzz cut guy. Simple, low-maintenance, and theoretically foolproof. But believe it or not, some places still manage to turn it into abstract art. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by the Rockford Great Clips on a Saturday morning—mostly because my usual location decided to open an hour later and I had places to be and hair to lose.
From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Lily was my stylist, and she did a fantastic job. Not only did she nail the buzz cut (which, yes, still requires skill), but she also took a few extra seconds to track down those stubborn little sprigs that love to pop up like weeds after you leave the shop. That kind of attention to detail earns a solid thumbs up from me—and a generous tip, because I appreciate when someone goes the extra mile to make sure I don’t look like a chia pet by lunchtime.
The earlier opening hour was a bonus. I got my haircut, avoided the weekend rush, and started my Saturday ahead of schedule. If you’re looking for a place that treats even the simplest haircut with care, this Great Clips location is worth the visit.

Been getting the same cut in the same place for about a decade or more. The last 2 cuts were NOT the same as done previously. Neither were the last 2 cuts done skillfully. Instead of blending the sides and the top, the stylist left an awkward transition between the sides and top. Already emailed customer service and they were going to contact the store. So far…crickets

The young lady that cut my hair needed to ask for help from a coworker... No surprise, not the best hair cut. I used to go to this location. This was my first visit back in years... Will not be going back.

I used tp go here monthly, but since Cedar Springs location opened, I've been going there. However, last week I stopped in since I was close and there was no wait per the app. I get a high and tight everytime, a style other stylists say is thier favorite as its quick and simple to do.
This visit, the stylist had no idea what she was doing..... too afraid to go high on a high and tight. I got so frustrated I just wanted to leave. I had so many comments from family and coworkers about the terrible fade.... I'll never come back to this location. Those reading this, choose wisely! Second chair to right is not experienced!!!!
