“Hungarian Rhapsody is more than just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of tradition, flavor, and cherished memories. The atmosphere is warm and authentically Hungarian, with a front display featuring traditional dolls, violins, hand-painted plates, and vibrant fabrics that instantly transport you to another time and place.
The food is always delightful, with standouts like the Chicken Paprikás with dumplings — just like Grandma used to make. Rich, tender, and full of comforting flavor, it’s the kind of dish that brings back fond memories with every bite. And the dessert tray? A showstopper. It’s filled with delicious sweet treats and layered cakes — some made with a full dozen eggs — showcasing the kind of care and indulgence that defines classic Hungarian baking.
But what truly sets Hungarian Rhapsody apart isn’t just the food — it’s the feeling. It's a place to gather, to celebrate, and to share stories with loved ones. Every visit feels like coming home.”
“A great hidden gem in Grosse Ile, never knew it was there. We toured the grounds, it was beautiful. If you are looking for a local venue for your special event, this is a wonderful option.”
“My Uncle Bill Butch and Aunt Janice belonged here when I was young. My mother and aunt his half sisters were in a convention in Cleveland Ohio for 3 to 4 years as children while my grandmother worked for Ohio Bell Telephone. Spent many years as a young girl attending the catholic churchs in Lincoln Park Michigan to learn about our mother's religion. We christened First Methodist Church in Lincoln Park Michigan thought. Our father's religion. My mother's father passed away when she was young. Lenore H Degg Hubbell. My cousin from Cleveland Ohio, was with the Detroit Arch Dyisess. He was a brother, Dick Conroy. My mothers Irish side, Hogan. Had dinners many times in Taylor at my grandmother's house, Franklin. Divorced and abusive husband that committed adultery on me and missed treated my oldest daughter, who died of Breast Cancer, January 22, 2023. My uncle William Frank Butch's best friends were Herbert Charnock of Charnock Oldsmobile and Bernard Brown licensed builder Wyandotte Michigan. Built many of the brick waterfront homes in Wyandotte and other downriver Communitys. My uncle and aunt Butch were always my favorites. They always drove Oldsmobiles. He was Italian and German and she was French. They are buried at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery on the east side of Detroit Area.”
“Traveled with family here out of state (8 hrs away) to visit family nearby. We stay at Marriott when we travel if we can because they have the best stay majority of the time. We enjoyed this stay, everyone is very sweet here, Shauna was so kind to us with pleasant conversation the few times we ran into her and the hotel is so clean and tidy- I absolutely love that. The fitness center is nice and I love that the treadmill faces the windows for a beautiful view, the sunset was gorgeous.
Hotels should receive awards for having and maintaining excellent service/quality, etc and the employees should receive bonuses for it. This is one of those hotels that are top quality. Thank you all and keep being wonderful.”
“Had my daughters 5th birthday party here. I like that it's a private event and you get the whole facility to yourself. We brought our own food and everything which I also appreciate. We did the lowest package for $350 that came with 16 kids. We had to pay extra for each teenager which I wasn't expecting when counting the 16 kids as it was a party for a 5 year old but I get it. The only complaint that I had was the owner. Im not sure if she was teying to be helful but she was very pushy and rude. I thought that throughout the party but after talking with our guests after the fact, they all said the same thing. I seen her posting on Facebook complaining about people having parties at her facility and not tipping her. I didn't realize after paying her almost $500 for a 2 hour party (that included nothing but the facility) that I was expected to pay her personally to be at her facility.”
“This place is exactly the same as it was 17 years ago. I used to bring my older children here but now they're all 21 and in college one another's College out of state. But now that I have a 7 yrs & a 3 yr old (yes I started all over again lol) The majority of his friends from school Have birthday parties Here at Dixie Skate Land So I finally Took him To this girl's birthday party At Dixie Skateland And The place is exactly as I remember it You got the skating part It's also where you go and get your shoes And then On the other side of the wall Like when you first walk in There are plenty of booths People can sit in while they eat their Pizza and Cake. The women that work there Our phenomenal, one of them is the DJ and also the one that gives you your shoes and the other one sells either tickets at the door unless you're invited to a birthday party then you don't need any tickets, and she also is the one that sells the things in the same place where there's booths to sit down and eat Or to just sit down and take a break Period And both of them clean at the end of the night and they're both so easy to talk to”
“The place is so cozy, I liked how they had 2 sofas facing the t.v felt like you were home, lol. Clean place to have your event at, only down fall... hard to find parking”
“Highly recommend this hall for any of your needs. Great group of people, great organization, and a nice lounge to boot. Ask them about membership or the many events going on. You won't regret coming here.”
