I just called for a quote on brake pads and was quoted 351.73 ?. This is brake pads only not including rotors. This is a case of he really didn't want to do my brakes or this place takes advantage of women. Ridiculous

I was just quoted 351.73 for brake pads only. He is almost twice as much as other repair shops in the area. Either he really didn't want the work or this company takes Advantage of women.

Had 2 flat tires and not familiar with a repair shop nearby. Had my truck towed to Jakes and he had it fixed in a day. Struts replaces new tires and even did a few extras for a reasonable price. Honest hard working people - car drives like a dream. Will reccomend !! Thank you!!

I have gone here several times because it is walking distance from my home. They seem to be nice people. The last time I went to fix a slow leak in a tire that was annoying me. They charged me $15 to patch it and came back with a rusty picture hanging nail. Far enough. One week later the tire was low on air again. I don't think he did anything except charge me $15. This is not the first time I was suspicious of misrepresentation. I will not be back.

I went to Jake's auto repair a couple weeks ago because I was hearing a loud noise in my car, they put it up on the hoist and moved the tires and told me that it was the transmission / front differential going out. At no point was it ever hooked up to a machine for a truly full inspection for codes or errors it was just by visual. They charge $80 for this service/just a visual service. I called the dealership and I told him the situation and they said to bring it in and they would assess it with a machine to find out what the codes were and give it a visual inspection as well for $80. It turns out there was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission, this auto shop was trying to ride me over for a $450 for a used part with a$1500 labor charge for a repair for a part that was not even broken. I called and spoke to Nick, The shops owner and all he wanted to do was argue with me and said "you heard the same noise I heard and we agreed that it was the transmission". I just had to laugh, I am not a mechanic nor did I agree that's what the problem was. At the end of the day I got charged twice for an inspection but thankfully it wasn't a $2000 charge to replace a part that did not need to be fixed, and the noise ended up being my tires needed to be rotated. Wow! Be sure to always get a second opinion, that's the lesson!

They performed a diagnostic I never approved and when I declined their request to fix my brakes. They charged me a $75 diagnostic fee. Very slimy people
