Prices are good just to many people pack didn't like the idea of one register you had to go to the service counter to bag your own

Shout out to "Stocker Sara" at the Roseville Meijer. On a VERY busy Sunday afternoon, I stopped her in an aisle in the middle of the grocery section. She was pushing a rack full of boxes she needed to deliver somewhere else in the store.I asked about what day of the week "Dairy" was restocked, because I could not find any Horizon brand half and half. She immediately said let me drop this off and I'll meet you back there and check our stock. She took off at a FAST pace, and met me back there a short while later. I showed Sara where the empty slot was, and she quickly took off (actually JOGGED a bit) to the back storage room. A few minutes later she reappeared, with a CASE full of Half Gallon Horizons! I took 2 and thanked her for the outstanding service.

Frozen Aisle 3 smelled disgusting like Back Alley PISS! The meat section had dried blood and dirt on the acrylic partitions .Not to mention the stock was low on everything.I can never complete a shopping list because the shelves are bare .This store has definitely went down over the years.

Over crowded and not enough cashiers. Self serve line was way to long. Everyone in line was complaining. I had a gift card to use or I would have left

Meijer has gone downhill since Fred died. The prices are not as good as they used to be. The sales are not as good as they used to be. They used to have 12 pages of grocery sale items, now you get 4. They force you to buy multiple items but never have anything in stock. The warehouse refuses to ship what the store needs. The alcohol selection is terrible, Kroger has a better selection overall. They stopped selling 2 popular wines, 2 popular salads. Their bleach selection is non-existent, and what they do have is overpriced. They give you coupons that you can't use because they don't have the item in stock. Meijer chunck peaches have been out for 3 months. I had a coupon, but couldn't use it. The grocery manager made sure it was zeroed out in computer. Fix a flat, app said in stock, and it is available for pickup in 2 hours. I went to the store and the shelves were bare. Month later, still out. Had a digital coupon for Jack Daniels, save $8 when you buy 2. Meijer didn't include the gift sets even though they are same price and coupon doesn't exclude them. Had to stand in a long service desk line to get it corrected. They used to be open 24 hrs, but now close at midnight. During the pandemic it was to clean and restock. But it isn't any cleaner and not anymore restocked then before. It is actually worse now. If your in line at midnight, you're screwed, the u scan registers automatically shut down at exactly 12. One night there were 20 ppl in line at the Schonheer store and they shut down. They keep discontinuing items, now they are getting rid of the Fram air filters for vehicles and most of the oil filters. They used to have a huge general merchandise ad that was inside the grocery ad, but stopped. They don't mail ads anymore. They used to be a great store but now, my blood pressure goes up every time I shop there. Today they had a one day coupon for Zip Lock bags, 50% off one holiday bag. They are on-sale 2/$7 when you buy 2. There we go again! Must buy multiple items! But it didn't include 2 gallon bags. Meijer brand was sold out. What are senior citizens supposed to do? One box could last them a yr. Plus they don't have an extra $3.50 to waste. But Meijer marketing doesn't care. Ground beef was on sale bogo 50% off. But meat that was expiring was only marked down 20%. Makes perfect sense. Their sales are down so much they sold off part of the parking lot. At Roseville they built a strip mall and a coffee shop. In Sterling Heights they built 2 restaurants, they were going to build an oil change place but the deal fell through. The plastic bags are so flimsy, one jar of pasta sauce was too much for the bag. It fell out when I went to take it in house and broke. Contacted Meijer and told them what happened, but they never replaced it. Kroger isn't any better. If you live near Warren, Value Fresh on Hoover and 10 mile is the best. It's just a grocery store, but if that's all you want then they have good sales. And always in stock. Meijer has sales that last a month, you have to buy multiple items to get it for sale price, but are sold out. Like frozen vegetables, the paper doesn't list what is on sale and I couldn't find it in the app either. I think their marketing department and the warehouse sit around smoking weed and think of ways to torment the shopper. That's what it feels like to shop at Meijer the last several years. It just seems to get worse everyday. If you just need groceries go to a Sparten Affiliate store, they are better stocked, have plenty of registers open, food is always fresh and in some cases much cheaper than Meijer.

The produce seems to be better at Meijer compared to kroger or walmart.
