Had an emergency with ignition coil. Called at 10:30am. Car in shop at 11am. Car out by 1:30pm. All on a Saturday. Found my go to mechanic now. Highly recommend.

My car engine was failing and I couldn't drive it any further so bringing my car to 13 and crooks was a happy coincidence. JR is a very honest mechanic and took great care of my car and did the work for a very good price. They even gave me a cookie as I was cashing out. I'll be going here for all of my auto repair work in the future. Good honest mechanics are hard to find!Services: Engine repair

The woman attending the register was possibly the sweetest most positively glowing person I have ever met, and she deserves a huge raise. I am remiss I didn't catch her name and will regret that for the rest of my life because I cannot put her name in this review.

It used to be a really good shop, until Dave Taylor sold the place. Now they're over priced hacks. I wouldn't let them work on a lawnmower.

I definitely don't recommend this shop. It was a good service shop until Dave Taylor sold the place. Now they're over priced hacks. I wouldn't let them work on a lawnmower.

Excellent people, excellent prices, excellent results. 'nuff said. ...but if I did want to say more, they have been repairing my family's vehicles for many years, including my parents' cars and mine in 2023. I couldn't recommend them more!

Honest, they don’t make unnecessary repairs. They replaced a battery after previous place gave me the wrong battery for my car. Also, car is a little glitchy when starting. 13 and Crooks ran a diagnostic it wasn’t the starter or alternator. I’m convinced if I had gone to the dealership I would have walked out paying for one or the other whether I needed it or not. Fortunate to have them in our neighborhood.Service: Auto battery replacement

Part 2: Thought gas tank leak had actually been fixed, after 800 bucks and lots of hassle (See original review). Approximately 2 weeks of no gas leaks, it began again to leak gas. Took car to a different auto shop who found gas tank had been replaced with gas tank that had holes in it, that were plugged up with an epoxy caulk or glue. Gasoline, of course, corrodes epoxy material so the $800 fix was very temporary. This place is terrible. Don't trust this place and avoid at all costs.

Go somewhere else. Car was brought in due to gas leaking. Supposedly fixed, paid 500, filled tank at their pump, drove to local place for lunch and gas was pouring out . . . Immediately drove back to 13&Crooks. The staff claimed that they fixed it, claimed they had video to prove it and then ordered the car be removed from their property as it was leaking gas and was a fire hazard. This was an awful experience. Had to drive car away leaking gas after money had been paid to fix this specific issue, not to mention being threatened by a call to police if car wasn't removed from property. Decided to return car the next day to try to get some resolution, this was a Saturday now, so only mechanic present and non of the difficult management seemed to be there. Four days later, they put in a new tank, charged 350 more and is now fixed. Wouldn't have left a bad review if they would have just fixed and charged the 850 without all the nasty and upsetting BS.

Went to this place needing a new alternator for my son’s car while he was away at college. My son is home now so now we are depending on the car for his transportation to work. Less than 3 months after repair, warning lights about battery and charge are coming on. Took to another mechanic that said they installed a faulty alternator… Went back to 13 and Crooks to have it taken care of and the (supposedly) owner gives us the run around. This place used to be amazing, but the new ownership has completely run it into the ground. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER MECHANIC.Service: Battery
