Since they switched my equipment to lifesaver, the price increased and quality of the device installed in my vehicle decreased considerably. If court or state ordered choose a different a different company if you can. Trash

Horrible company. I had numerous false positives and of course no one believes you because you are deemed an “alcoholic”. I gave up in 2012 and had it removed. I’m just now going again for a hearing because it traumatized me to know you can really be leading a clean good life and no one believes you. I also had at least 5 instances of the battery dying. I had 4 false positives, 2 lockouts all in 60 days. These are DUIs stemming from 2002. I was 20. I’m 39 now lead a completely different sober life and I’m still getting punished. Run from them at fast as you can. They were horrible in 2012 and they are horrible now looking at the reviews. SOS doesn’t even recommend them anymore. How many people were falsely screwed over and no one believed them? Countless. They mess with peoples lives.

This place does not report to the state if your battery dies and you tell them they just send it to the state as a violation.... racket!

If I could, I would give them "0" stars. This is THE WORST PLACE EVER, who have no clue what the customer service is. They don't care about anything besides your credit card number. There are dozens of similar places in Michigan, and if you have a chance, don't make the same mistake as all of those people, including myself, who left those 1-star reviews, and stay away from them, or you will be sorry later on. Because once all the paperwork with American Interlock is done, it is too much of a headache to go and start the whole process all over again with different Monitoring Service.

I had used this place in 2012 when I got approved for a breath device. NUMEROUS times the thing failed me and I WAS NOT DRINKING. Who’s gonna believe me the “drunk”. Watch out for this place and stay far away. I haven’t drank in 22 years. It’s disgusting they get away w this.

If you do have to use this Company (please don’t) PROTECT YOURSELF. Use an app on your phone that records your phone conversations. Keep a written log of issues with dates/times/issues/who you called/who you spoke with. Go to the police station and verify your BAC if there is an error (even if customer service states they see no issue on their end) go get YOUR proof. If you are doing this for probation, bring your issue up to your officer ASAP and have your officer call them to get the issue resolved. Your officer can reach someone that has more authority in there company to address issues. I am in Michigan and our courts have brought on additional companies because of all the complaints from American Interlock. I should be able to go to another company in a couple months. The probation officers do not want to spend their time calling up an interlock company all the time to try to resolve client issues. It becomes a pattern and they start doing something about it. Ask your probation officer that you would like to file a formal complaint with the state of Michigan (or whatever state you reside in). There is a branch that looks into complaints and reasons why company A always has complaints/lockouts/high cost, but company B doesn't when they offer the same service to a client. This company doesn't care to change anything as long as people keep using them. Instead of replying to these threads saying the person who wrote the review isn't a client (because people look to write bad reviews about a interlock company for fun, your not that interesting.), they should see there is an obvious issue and actually address it. Train your employees to give good service and help the people paying your salary (your clients). As required by law to use this type of company (clients) need to bring up every issue to your officer and court, the court will get more options available to their probationers so that they do not have to continue hearing about issues with this company and calling to try to address the issues. Only when American Interlock (total court services) starts seeing a loss in revenue will a change be made by them (hope right away). Call your officers/courts/BBB/State Representatives/SOS/DMV and make sure you have a record of your issues with this company. Good Luck. I hope some law office can help us for a class action lawsuit

This company is just another modern day extortionists taking advantage of people in vulnerable positions. The employees treat people like they are less than human and are very abrasive. This company is just another disgusting example of a system taking money from the communities in which they reside instead of making them safer.

HORRIBLE customer service! Staff is not knowledgeable about the companies products, services or troubleshooting. The only thing they will be able to do for you is put another charge on your credit card. This company takes advantage of customers that are required/court ordered to use it's services.
