Keep going back. Love just about everything on the menu. Most of the crew will go out of their way to be sure you're happy. Great lunch stop during the Woodward Cruise.

I gotta say that Chicken Shack chicken is the best fried Chicken i have ever had, regardless of which one you pop into.I hadn’t had KFC in like 23 years, and I remember it being awesome. And seeing as how they don’t have a Chicken Shack around me, i hit their crib up fer some extra crunchy. That junk was extra soggy & gristly.The Shack also blows away Zenders in that freak Bavarian type place in Frankenstein. They just flood u with their all u can eat gimmick, but their poultry products are sub par.The Shack coleslaw is also over the top tasty too. I think they must add sugar to it er something, because it’s like candy.So don’t skimp, and drive the 20 mins to get ur 2 piece lunch pack today!!!Oh, and fer atmosphere I prefer The Shack location in Lincoln Park. Being downriver I sorta fit in better (is that a good thing?). Plus it’s right down the street from where my friend Ashley lived with her husband. So if I got hungry parked down the street waiting for her husband to leave, it was the perfect location ?

Chicken shack use to be very good. The quality of the food is good Maybe the location was wrong choice.

This was my first time at the original chicken shack on Woodward. I thought that the food would be really delicious and it was not. The potatoes were hard they gave me the bottom of the barrel. The chicken was not cooked well, kind of dry and some overcooked this will be my first and last time having the food from this original chicken shack sorry very poorWheelchair accessibility: The parking was bad. The curbs are white. There’s almost no way to really drive in or use your wheelchair.

I'm not sure if they are under new ownership but I think they have gotten better. I prefer this location better than the Southfield location.Parking: Limited parking

Used to a favorite and the best chicken in town. Not no more. Last few times I ordered here chicken is dry, chewy and overcooked. Also it doesn’t taste the same. They must have changed up

Chicken and potatoes were good. Fountain pop was nasty. The coke was flat so I switched to sprite and that had a chemical taste.

Hot, a tiny bit Smokey and the deliciously seasoned air of fried chicken/fish that makes your mouth water just thinking about it. This place makes me hungry just writing about it.
