I gave it a 1 because after all they are a bank and very willingly took my money to open an account. And that was the only thing that worked sorta well. They sent me a letter with dates a d details completely screwed up advising that the funds of my deposit were suspended because of something ridiculous that I still don't understand. Then, they took 6 (THAT SAYS SIX) days to complete a transfer to an account of mine in another bank. No notice of it, just did it! Their online balance history is a joke! A d the crown jewel id the Customer SERVICE. "Online chat" or telephone, don't even try. Waiting times are horrible; agents are not trained properly so they don't know how to effectively answer to your concern, and solving the problem is just impossible. This is not a bank. And since I can't use my money as I want, I will have to wait for next month to close the accounts and forget I ever dealt with them. Thanks

Customer Service hasn't been the same since Paris and Rob left. When my account was compromised and red flagged, Paris was there to help me with the process of making sure that I was enrolled in an identity theft protection at 53rd. And whenever I had question and concerns about my account or anything pertaining to banking issues, Rob was always patient and kind in his assistance. They made banking with 53rd a good experience. I miss them.

Fifth Third Bank is the best banking experience I have had, while it's true that you need to find someone that you have a rapport with, overall i have had good experiences with the bank, Tony has been a great help, and the banking products are good for my needs.

Came in looking for help with financial documents needed to purchase a home. Brittany was wonderful and went above and beyond my expectations. I actually had to return to the branch a few days later for further paperwork and once again Brittany was right on top of it. Thank you fifth third for employing such a wonderful person.

The ATM ate my card for no apparent reason. Then when I came into the bank to address the issue they just acted like it was normal not to assure that I left with a card. Instead told me to go to my 'home' branch. What a great way to sell that fact that you're a cohesive corporate bank. Will be closing my account by the end of the year. Sick of all the fees and garbage that comes with a "5/3 banking experience" probably would be better if I had more money but that's just one more corporation screwing the little guy!

is bank has ripped me off for more than $1,600... just bank has cash checks that were frauds that would deposited into my account from Our Lady of Fatima after I applied for a loan I'm a victim of a scam they refused to represent me.. if checks are deposited into account in there counterfeit why would the bank pay the sinder of those checks.. then turn around and demand that the payment come out of the person who was scammed account... Fifth Third Bank is a rip-off and they need to be investigated by the FBI and believe me they're going to be...

Not sure why this bank got two stars. Actually, I can understand that it is a bank. That said it is a bank. If people are upset with his bank it's because they're doing the job probably. At my most angry point with this bank in five years it was due to the fact they wouldn't give me change without a drivers license a bank. Policy which I was fully aware of and assumed I could just get by because I go often enough instead they actually hold up their end of their own rules. I cannot blame them from taking the actions necessary to secure our money. God knows the day, the scammer to set there, take enough it as it is. My preference is to have a bank looks for problems and prod and doesn't wait and then correct after. 5th3rd and Woodward has waived charges and fees they have pushed wire transfers through and they have allowed our company accounts to go in the red and the double digit thousands. I highly recommend this fantastic Bank Whitten wonderful customer service oriented banking center.

Wow. This is the slowest bank ever. My husband is a member here and we decided to open a joint account at his bank since I am thinking about switching to Chase (from PNC). He went in yesterday to see how long it would take to set up this account, since I'd be coming on my lunch break. They assured him that it would take just a few minutes and it wouldn't be a problem. So today I drove from Rochester Hills to RO to meet him at noon. Walked right in and sat down with an account manager. We explained what we wanted and I mentioned that I only had a limited amount of time. You'd think that this would make him be all business but you'd be wrong. This guy small-talked with us for like 15 minutes, asking if we liked our jobs, how our honeymoon was, details about the wedding. I started getting a little irritated, although I kept it held in. Then we reminded him that we just wanted a simple account to cash our wedding checks. So then he goes through 5 different accounts that we "could" have, mentioning that I should join 5/3 and all this crap. Seriously, after this meeting, I would never put my money there. Finally after 45 minutes it clicked with him that I had to go. He printed out one piece of paper for me to sign and I took off. Those few minutes? Turned into 2 hours for my poor husband. He didn't get out of there until after 2pm! Absolutely ridiculous. If it's not going to take a "few minutes", be honest about it! I can spare 2 hours some other time, or we could have figured something else out. I feel like they lied to us just to get us to come in, and I am NOT happy about it.
