Employees are rude and don’t care to do their jobs or answer the phones. Had a reservation and they said they had no cars available upon arrival. Impossible to deal with.

They take over your street. They dump trash in your street. They have no regard for safety, parking, or dropping off. They constantly have overflow inventory.

I would give Hertz and this location zero stars if I could. Had a car accident and got a rental paid for through my insurance. I have had to extend the rental twice now due to my car repairs taking longer than expected. Hertz has a contract with my insurance agency to reach out and automatically extend my rental if needed. Woodward office says it's not their job. National customer service says it's not their job. I've called my insurance company numerous times explaining Hertz won't update the rental and they firmly tell me it's Hertz's job. This has been escalated to my insurance company's Hertz liaison. What is a stressful situation has been made even worse by the incompetence of Hertz and their local staff.

Extremely Disappointed with the Service at This Hertz Location
I’ve been a loyal Hertz customer for years and have always had great experiences—especially at airport locations. However, my recent visit to this particular location was incredibly disappointing.
The manager was shockingly rude from the moment I asked if I could switch to a different car. I wasn’t even asking for an upgrade—just a basic swap. When I mentioned I was a Gold member, his response was dismissive and sarcastic: “Everyone’s a Gold member.” I then explained that I’m a President’s Circle member, and he responded with even more attitude, saying “It doesn’t matter. We’re not giving you another car.”
His tone, body language, and overall attitude were completely unprofessional. I’ve never been treated this poorly at any Hertz location before. If this had been my first experience with the company, it probably would’ve been my last.
Hertz needs to seriously review how this location is being managed. It’s a poor reflection on an otherwise reputable brand

My car was totaled in the floods this week, and Roland came to my rescue. He made sure I was well taken care of, so that this could be the least stressful part of the whole ordeal. He even helped me turn the vehicle back in early when I was miraculously able to get a new car sooner than expected. Thank you Roland!

The worst customer service you can ever ask for! So if you are looking for bad customer service and nasty service, go to Hertz on Woodward and ask for Michael the branch manager! He is one of the worst unprofessional people you can ever deal with! This location is highly not recommended…

I usually use Enterprise for work but tried Hertz this time. I was told it was $50 to change the drop off location, but when going to change it, it's showing $200! You can't get in touch with anyone on the phone since they just put you on hold and never pickup. Super disappointed and will never use them again for my regular work travel.

I wouldn't rent your car here. If you drive yourself to get the vehicle, they make you find street parking. The cars aren't fully cleaned. They gave me a car that required a min 91 gas rating and it heavily increased the cost of my trip because I didn't notice until my first fill up 300 miles later. They don't allow early drop off yet when I do drop it off I just put the keys in a return box so why can't you do early returns? Don't waste ur money here.

I had a very disappointing experience at this rental location due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of the light-skinned male staff member working the counter.
We booked our vehicle rental nearly two months in advance and arrived just a few minutes late to our reservation. To our surprise, we were told that there were no vehicles available because of our delay. This was unusual, as I’ve rented vehicles hundreds of times from various companies including Hertz, Dollar, Alamo, Sixt, and others—and even when I arrived several hours late, I was always accommodated.
When I politely asked two simple questions to better understand the situation and how to avoid such issues in the future, the staff member responded with an unnecessary attitude and clear lack of customer service. Despite our calm and respectful tone, his behavior was rude and unprofessional.
I sincerely urge Hertz to address this matter. Experiences like this can quickly drive loyal customers away. Employees who interact with customers should demonstrate professionalism, patience, and courtesy—this individual fell far short of all of that.

I’ve been renting vehicles from Hertz rental for over a year and I’m very pleased with the customer service guys who always greet me with a smile and always make sure I’m a satisfied returning customer.
