Holiday Market, established in 1954 by Tom and Janet Violante, has evolved from a small neighborhood butcher shop into a substantial 60,000 square foot specialty market. Known for high-quality products and friendly service, it remains a beloved local destination. The store offers some of the best produce in the area, a diverse deli selection, and a notable smokehouse, while its bakery is particularly praised. However, some customers have noted that prices can be significantly higher than at other stores, with certain items being marked up considerably. While customer service has seen some decline, many still visit for specific items and appreciate the store's unique offerings, such as prepared foods and a fish and meats counter. The store also features Mirepoix cooking school, where customers can participate in hands-on classes taught by professional chefs. Despite occasional inconsistencies in the quality of hot items, the overall shopping experience is often described positively, with a focus on community and service. Holiday Market is ideal for those looking for a quality shopping experience, even if it comes at a higher price.
The smoked chicken wings here are being slept on. Do yourself a favor and go to the prepared foods section and for yourself some chicken wings from the hot food case. You will thank me and you will be back for more. The lemon pepper ones are my favorite but they’re all delicious
