From the moment I signed the contract, communication was nonexistent and all Kurtis cared about was getting their money. The workers that arrived at my home were inconsiderate, my rep was zero help and lied to me, and Hard Rock and Kurtis don't talk to each other causing issues and delays. The little website they use for project management is pointless since none of the workers update it. I recommend you go elsewhere.

From the start of our kitchen refacing our consultant, Cindy J, was so helpful in guiding our selections and our installer, James, was so meticulous in his work, to the finishing details from other contractors made our kitchen amazing! We are so happy with our kitchen! Thanks to all!Services: Tile work installation

The communication is absolutely horrible. My project manager Robert never followed up with anything. He would always answer the phone and say he will handle it. Never followed through. Pretty much everything he said he was going to do never happened. Until I started dealing with a supervisor things were not moving. After I stopped dealing with Robert things started to move forward and the kitchen was completed. Once everything was done I had a leak in the new faucet for my kitchen sink. It leaked water all over the place. When the plumber came back out he started saying how my new sink that I purchased was notorious for having leaks. The weird thing was after he went in and tightened everything up the leak stopped! Wonder what happened there?Services: Tile work replacement

We had a soaker tub in our condo master bath when we bought five years ago, we never used it. My wife and I decided to get rid of it, so we took some pictures and decided to go to Kurtis in Utica talked to Adam, gave him our measurements. Paula came out we told her what we wanted they came up with a design. Sal the carpenter had everything torn out in a day and put a bench seat in for our new extended shower. Tim came in the next day and got started on the shower looks great. There were some hiccups along the way but project managers Jena and Allen took care of them. Looks great wife happy that’s all that matter !!!!

Robert was very helpful with his design expertise, and getting our project started and moving along. Ben did an excellent job of managing the day to day of our kitchen facelift. We experienced an issue with the new sink, which forced a delay, but Ben was flexible in rescheduling the remaining work to ensure the project was completed timely. He was very responsive when questions arose and addressed concerns timely. The paint team, Michael & Shane, did an excellent job of removing cabinet/drawer faces, painting the cabinets, applying the hardware, and putting everything back perfectly. They arrived timely, and cleaned up daily. The team who removed old countertops, made wood & trim additions, as well as desk improvements did an excellent job as well. The teams at Kurtis & Hard Rock Granite & Stone worked together to ensure an excellent job of measuring and installing our new Quartz countertop and sink. The plumbing team did an excellent job of reconnecting our dishwasher, new faucet and addressing questions regarding the new sink. Overall, it was an excellent experience collaborating with the teams from Kurtis Home Solutions, and I would recommend their services. We are extremely pleased with our kitchen facelift!Services: Kitchen countertop replacement

I was going to wait for my bathroom remodel to be finished before writing a review but I'm not convinced they are ever going to finish the project. The design process was good and the demo guys did a great job keeping everything as clean as possible. Once the demo was done the whole process broke down. Their buildertrend app is useless since it is rarely updated. Every single trade had to fix what they put up the first time. The electrician put two electrical boxes in the wrong place. I knew one was wrong from day one. The drywall guys put up the wrong drywall in the shower and had to take it down and put up the right stuff. The tile guy (who I actually thought did a great job) didn't put the tile all the way to the edge of the wall and they had to take it down and replace it. I have no words for the plumber. He installed the wrong plumbing in the shower and then tried to cover it up by buying different fixtures. I finally had to hide the fixtures so he would not try to install them for the third time. Once your project is off schedule they are moved onto other projects so finishing is no longer a priority especially once they have most of your money. All I need to have finished is the plumbing and the toilet that I'm pretty sure the plumber broke. If they just spent one more day at my house it would be done. They said it would be done Wednesday and then changed it to Thursday. They were again a no show. My guess is that I'm either going to have to get a lawyer or call channel 2 hall of shame to get this done. If it is ever finished I know I will like it but the process is beyond ridiculous. They are very expensive and several friends of mine have done similar projects for much less money and definitely less time. Be very careful if you choose to do business with this companyService: Remodeling

We used Kurtis Kitchen & Bath for remodeling our primary bathroom, and now our bathroom is by far the nicest room in our home! They did SUCH a wonderful job from start to finish! We had been considering a remodel for quite a long time, and what ultimately helped us choose Kurtis was not only their reputation, but how easy they were to work with and how quickly they were able to get the process moving. First, we worked with Lauren in Royal Oak to finalize our design and pick out the colors and materials we would use. Shortly thereafter, we got measurements taken and the job was underway! They gave us a targeted start date, and it was spot on. Our project manager Tom was responsive, patient and got things accomplished quickly whenever needed. Jena helped with the final touches to close out the project at the very end, and Mesza, James, Brian, Michael, Rob, John, and Chris - thank you for all of your hard work! Hopefully I'm not missing anybody. Honestly, as far as remodeling projects go, my husband and I felt like this went without a hitch and we are so grateful that we found Kurtis to complete this project. We are in love with our bathroom and how it turned out, we still can't believe it's the same room. Thank you thank you!Service: Remodeling

Extremely unprofessional people. No customer service. Very poor work done in our brand new home with lots of mistakes which are not solved yet even after 4 months of our moving. I would make sure that no one in my community would go to them for any kind of services.

We had our kitchen cabinets professionally painted and backsplash replaced by Kurtis -- overall we’re pleased with how the finished product looks, which is definitely a plus. But the process to get there and the communication along the way was a struggle. There were multiple scheduling conflicts throughout the duration of the project, which caused our kitchen to be out of commission for much longer than we were promised – the backsplash tile was supposed to be installed immediately after the cabinets were painted, but Kurtis neglected to order the backsplash tile and then failed to schedule tile installers, which delayed things several weeks. Also along the way, there were several other scheduling issues or breakdowns in communication where workers would not show up when they were scheduled to…or times when workers would show up without us being notified. Immediately after the cabinets were reinstalled by the original team (and the work should have been completed) we had to have their lead installer come out to realign all the cabinet faces as nearly all were misaligned – but he did a great job and things looked great in the end. Our original salesperson also misinformed us about several things, including timeline and warranty – he promised us a LIFETIME warranty to fix touchups on the cabinets as well as the backsplash. We were informed later that the warranty only lasted 18 months. It’s been several months since the project was completed, we’ve had them out to touch up a couple places where paint has chipped away. Again, overall still pleased with how the kitchen looks, but have questions about the integrity of the job -- and certainly there were frustrations with communication and customer service along the way.Services: Kitchen cabinet refacing

Terrible experience with Kurtis. I bought a countertop & plumbing in my kitchen and it took 3 weeks-plus until the project is finished. I had to wait, I had 12 contractors & supplies and 15 appointments. Very, very slow.

I was excited to use this company and get a quote from them but wasn't able to set up a quote due to them being inflexible and strict with their 1.5-2 hour undivided attention requirement for an in home quote. As a new home owner, I have to balance several contractors at once on a limited schedule so I'm unable to dedicate half of my one morning in the house before the current tenant moves out to them. I asked if they would be willing to have phone conversations and other follow up meeting times after they got in the house to measure and they were unwilling to agree. It seems odd that this company chose not to be flexible with their quote process and instead chose to not work with me or get my business. If you have to balance multiple contractors, like we often have to when buying a new home, choose someone else who is willing to work with you instead of make it harder.

When I bought my dream home almost 3 years ago I knew one day I would have to bring the kitchen to the 21st century! After much research I chose Kurtis, overwhelmed and feeling defeated I went into the Utica office. Adam and Lauren were great! Never done this before, and not knowing what to expect. you have to trust the process! I felt Adam and Lauren were open and honest. From start to finish, they were attentive and listened to what I pictured my dream gourmet kitchen would be! It’s surreal to see what I’ve always had envisioned come to life! Kurtis contractors were amazing also and became great friends. Some advice for anyone, ask questions and confirm everything. There is never to many questions. Take your time choosing and look at all options. I spent a lot of money, more than I ever thought I would but the outcome was above and beyond and worth it!

Kurtis did an amazing job with our kitchen remodel. Lauren, the designer listened to everything I said I wanted and designed a beautiful kitchen for us. Work was done for the most part on time. Communication was very good and they were quick to address any small issues we had. They use beautiful products and worked with us and our budget. Highly recommendServices: Remodeling
