The rudest costumer service here at night. Day time is great. The night staff doesn’t want to help and stops working before closing time.

I’ve lived in three different states. I’ve tried multiple pharmacies within the Ferndale Royal Oak, Hazel Park area. This is by far the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to every time I come up to their drive-through. There’s 4+ cars waiting no matter what time of day. I’ve ordered my prescriptions online through walgreens.com and when I call 4 days later, after requesting they be filled they still haven’t even come around to looking at my prescriptions. I’ve never had such worst service in my life and this comes from a millennial that never takes the time to leave bad reviews. I feel horrible. Leaving a review like this, but this is the worst I’ve ever experienced. If you’re thinking about choosing this pharmacy, pick a different one. If you’re thinking about working here. I imagine it’s awful don’t do it. I voice to text this review in the line waiting here.

Was told meds were in and then next morning they were given to someone else. Always have to call and check to keep prescriptions moving. Very reactive... and poor at that.

I know Walgreens is understaffed and extra busy especially now with Rite Aid closing and getting an influx of new patients. I'm extremely understanding on that when I'm waiting in line 30+ mins just because they're slow. I'm also extremely understanding and patient with the elderly woman they have running the drive thru often. They move at slower than a snails pace and take a moment to process/think/respond/slowly walks away like my grandmother. I understand she should be retired. And is just like everyone struggling financially and needs this job. So I'm very patient and understanding with her even though she probably isn't best suited for the drive thru traffic flow. She needs her job. She does it well. Just slower. Totally fine. What IS unacceptable and I'm extremely frustrated with is the lack of everyone being on the same page/communication/competency level at the Walgreens. I personally want to switch my autistic brother and my 90 yr old grandmother to CVS. I love cvs. I go to cvs myself. Never an issue. Super prompt. Always helpful. All communicate and are on the same page. It's GREAT. But my grandma is stubborn and won't switch even though she no longer can pick up her own prescriptions. My brother had rite aid but switched to Walgreens because he swears it's the only pharmacy that will take his prescription. I also deal with meijer pharmacy for my parents that are also senior citizens. I do a lot of errand running around that they can't drive themselves and so I have to do it between work on my free time. My grandmother lives in a senior living facility which is income based so they yearly request her list of prescriptions. They always in the past mailed to her. This year she requested they told her they could no longer mail it out. Someone at the pharmacy told her no longer can mail out. Had to be picked up. Assured her I could pick it up. So I go... I wait... I request her printed sheet they swore they had for me to be able to pick up. They told me "sorry we need her identification" I asked ... "you just need her identification? She doesn't need to be present?" They assured she did not. So I go and I get her identification and come back today and wait for 45mins. I pick up my brothers prescription. Then I request her list. Nope... can't do it. I understand protocol. I understand things for safety reasons and legal reasons. But I have wasted so much time waiting for them to tell me differently multiple times. And guess what!? They're mailing it to her. What we wanted done in the first place and were told couldn't be done. So I've made multiple trips for nothing. I spoke to multiple people at this pharmacy and my grandmother spoke to multiple. No one knew what the other was doing. I left and called my grandma to inform that they're in fact mailing the list now. She asks "did you get my prescriptions?" Me: "no grandma... I picked up (my brothers) I did not know you had any" she proceeds to tell me she just spoke to pharmacy that morning and they told her they were filled. The staff knew I was there for my brother and my grandmother. I go there weekly for prescriptions. They should not only recognize me... my pharmacy does and they see me way less often. But they KNOW I'm there... why didn't they say "we are mailing her list but she does have prescriptions you can pick up today while you're here". So ONCE AGAIN ... I have to return to this pharmacy to wait 30+ mins because the lack of communication. The lack of service. The lack of speed/caring of others time. The general lack of competence which at my job I'd be warned/fired. This would be unacceptable. Which again I understand burnout is real. Maybe in the area you pay your pharmacy staff less so you're getting ones overworked/underpaid maybe and why there's a lack of staff. But this is a consistent issue with Walgreens. Always Walgreens. Not CVS. Not meijer pharmacy. Walgreens lacks across the board

The pharmacy service is sooo slow, I have been waiting almost 30 min to get my prescription. This is the second time that happens to me in the last couple weeks. I can’t wait to switch to another drugstore.

The people in the front/store part are great but this review is because the pharmacy is so painfully slow. I’ve never in my life had a pharmacy take this long to fill prescriptions. There are people doing very expensive medical treatments which are time sensitive. Your pharmacy could actually ultimately cost me over 30k, because not getting the medication I need on time will make my medical treatment less effective and I’ll have to do it again. If you just spent 1 day catching up on everything you would not be so behind. Unfortunately I will have to change pharmacies after this and won’t be coming back here.

Has not improved. Left this pharmacy years ago when they were routinely out of the meds we needed, including amoxicillin, with multi-day waits for them to get them in. Also regularly mixed our prescriptions up with others' out of state. Got transferred here from the closing Rite-Aid; nothing has improved. They lost my prescription refill three times, and now they don't have a medication my doctor ordered; won't have it until some time next week. Oh, and they "put me on hold" and then hung up while waiting to talk to someone multiple times.

This location doesn't deserve any stars. The pharmacy is the worst. They say they haven't gotten perscription orders that I know we're sent. Always say they are having trouble with insurance. Sending me messages that my perscription is out of stock when that's not the problem. I had to transfer from Riteaid because they were closing. Now I'm transferring to another pharmacy. This is actually a second chance for them after five years and nothing has changed!

As a prescriber, I called to fill a medication within business hours and they refused. Will be looking for alternatives going forward. Abysmal service.

Don't bother doing curbside orders. They won't come and bring out to your car. You have to go
inside

I normally like this Walgreens. But some type of recent change in the pharmacy has changed my mind. There’s is a person who works in the pharmacy who is incredibly rude and lazy and cuts you off from speaking then tells you you are being rude when j try to regain control of the conversation. My main beef is they refilled a prescription and used a substitute without checking if that would be okay the. Told me if I have a problem to go to my doctor. I will not be back except to return the medication that doesn’t work for me

The Pharmacist must think she is God. My doctor increased the mg’s on a pain med and won’t fill it until the doctor tells her why. I called her manager. Going to find another Pharmacy, one that’s not so nosey.
