We had a unique situation tied to a two-month hospital stay that would have cost them nothing to accommodate and they showed zero care and compassion. They don't deserve your business.

Someone in my family purchased a VERY expensive Amish bedroom set along with a king size mattress and bed. They delivered and set it up. A few months later we moved to a different place. When we went to disassemble the bed that had a platform with multiple drawers we noticed all kinds of damage that you would never see unless you disassembled it. I went out to the store and spoke with a manager. There was a few people around so he just acted concerned to impress the other customers. They had a representative come out to assess the damage. He tells me that you have to report any damage within the first 7 days. I replied that they brought it and set it up so it was only possible that they did it when they delivered it. The bedroom set cost thousands and thousands of dollars so I contacted the main store I believe was in Auburn Hills and they pretty much just said they didn’t know what to tell me. They couldn’t get off the phone quick enough. I tried several different attempts but no one cared any more than the first person. Over the holiday season they do seem to have some good deals on their commercials but what is junk furniture really worth? Or nice furniture when it’s turned to junk by careless, wreckless delivery guys that out of negligence wreck the furniture. The damage they did included driving the screws in the platform down below the surface of the plywood so when we went to disassemble it, the plywood just all separated in more than one spot. Also there were huge chunks taken out of several spots. All the damage was just plain negligence. It was a very nice Amish built set that cost thousands but since the delivery guys got ahold of it, it’s lucky if we could get a couple hundred bucks for it after the damage they did to it. And it’s pretty suspicious that you see quite a few 1 star reviews but then you see groups of 5 star reviews in a row. Makes you wonder what the staff does when they’re bored or it’s slow. Also didn’t noticed much other than 1 or 5 star reviews

After multiple trips and over 3 hours of time invested we finally decided on a special order sectional and chair. Patti made a few mistakes along the way with what options we could get. We overcame all of those minor errors. We went forward with the sale after price was negotiated and agreed on. When it came time to submit the official order the price went up $2,500 because “the system wouldn’t build a leather sofa”. I asked to speak with the manager, she went and talked with him and came back to tell me she couldn’t do anything for us. My wife then spoke up and asked why he can’t come talk to us. The answer we got was he can’t do anything for you either.Very unprofessionalNot the first time this establishment let us down. Just the first time I’m willing to donate more of my time leaving a review. In hopes to save others the troubles.

Salesperson did a bait and switch on the price on us. I told her we had been shopping for months and finally found something we liked, that checked all the boxes and would fit in our space. Then after going through everything and spending our morning there she changed the price significantly because of an error made when quoting us originally.

If there were negative stars I would be giving those. Horrible company to deal with. Purchased a chaise sofa, corner was ripped upon delivery, it's been over 12 weeks to find out part was never ordered and I have to use my extended warranty to get it ordered. Now they say buy the pics the 1st tech took it can be repaired. You cannot speak to the service manager and they are not willing to do anything else. Disgusting customer service, will never deal with them again!!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. They sell furniture under manufacturing warranty against defects and when it has a clear material defect and starts tearing at multiple seems they refuse to fix it. Do yourself a favor and purchase from anyone else but these people. Run.....

Update 4: Upon 4th delivery the leather chair again arrived damaged with exposed staples along the seam. The sofa was not damaged and was placed in my home. At this point I honestly have no words.Update 3: Upon 3rd delivery the two original leather pieces were sent again, however they were the same damaged ones from the first delivery!!! The sofa having been noticeably “patched” and the chair not fixed at all. I was flabbergasted that they would send the same exact pieces and assume I wouldn’t check for damage.Update 2: Upon second delivery the two wooden pieces were in good shape and not damaged.*Note none of the items purchased were from scratch and dent or store models. *Ordered 7 pieces of furniture for delivery. 4 out of the 7 were damaged with cuts in the leather on 2 and chunks of the wood detailing gouged in several places on the other two. The 4 had to go back leaving me with a chair and two ottomans. When I say I just want to cancel it all and take back the chair and ottomans I am told I have to pay a restocking fee of over $300! If you can’t stand by your products then people will just go to your many competitors. Ridiculous! Wish I would have thought to take pictures but was honestly so in shock the first delivery that I didn’t get any.

Brandon was fantastic and spent significant time with my wife and I answering questions and explaining the benefits and downsides to various decisions. This was the first store went came to searching for a configurable sectional and fully expecting to visit other stores before we found what we needed. However, with Brandon's assistance we found the perfect sectional and purchased it.Thanks Brandon and the whole Gardner White team!

Went there looking for a couch and a recliner and with the 80% clearance sale. I found what I was looking for. I have needed both for a long time so now I'm happy with my purchase. Gardner White is a good place to start when you're looking for any kind of furniture. They have everything.

Me and my boyfriend just purchased our first couch for our new apartment and we had the pleasure of having Gretchen help us through the process. She was amazing and so sweet she made our first furniture purchase enjoyable and very quick ! I definitely recommend stopping here.

I used to Love Gardner White!! I loved them because they had a salesman named Tyler, he is just wonderful, patient and understanding. He’s so helpful finding the best quality furniture in beautiful styles, in fact, I bought a really expensive sofa and loveseat that is supposed to be the best grain leather and built the best but I’ve had it less than a year and one of the arms is broken already!! Unbelievable that they would not honor their warranty! I was told by the management that it was bumper-to-bumper!! But nope they won’t fix the arm!! Unbelievable that Management would lie like that! On top of that, I brought a friend in to buy furniture from my sales person Tyler, who, by the way, is no longer with Gardner White but he is close by at a much better furniture store with much better quality furniture, and a much better selection. He is so close by that you could walk there from GW. VC has the best furniture at the best prices, much better quality than Gardner White. I would bring him in people to Gardner White to buy furniture from him, and the other sales people didn’t like the fact that the customers were not spread out between them. Not my fault that Tyler is the best salesman!! He spends so much time, making sure that everything is perfect and you have everything you want so when he left Gardner White, I canceled my order for the bedroom set I had ordered the second week in September and was told that it would be delivered by the end of September but when no one even bothered to reach out to me about it, I called Gardner White and I was told that it wouldn’t be delivered until mid to end of December. UNBELIEVABLE!! So I reached out to Tyler on his cellular phone and he told me that he was at VC now and that they had much better quality stuff and went in there and could not believe how true that was so I ended up with a way better deal and much much much nicer furniture!! I am so happy!! So happy that I dumped Gardner White because they didn’t give a damn about me or their best sales person!! I would give you zero stars if I could!!

We purchased a sofa on 8/31 and were informed that because we paid with a company check, we had to wait 2 weeks for the check to clear. 2 weeks later, after cashing the check, we were told that the sofa was discontinued and no longer available. We had been made aware by other people that had similar experiences but decided to try them out anyway. The whole experience was awful. I don't recommend anyone shopping here.
