If you need a model of how NOT to stay in business, look no further than Guitar Center. One person working on the phone for 30 minutes. Went in for a cable so thought I'd try an $1100 Lakeland Skyline bass while I waited for her to get off the phone. Walked over to guitar tech looking at his phone...Me: do you have a patch cable so I can try out this bass?Tech: you need to ask the person behind the counterMe: goes and stands back by counter for ten more minutes waiting for phone call to end. And decides I wouldn't buy a bass from that dumpster fire if it was half price. Are employees taught to avoid eye contact and interaction with customers or do they develope that characteristic from working short staffed constantly? Corporate malaise on display

BUYER BEWARE! This store is sneaky about how they sell things....they are intentionally silent about their return policy until you TRY to return something. Ironically, they have USED items that they refuse to return. I WOULD NOT SHOP HERE - Use Musicians Friend or Sweetwater online instead.....This place is a trap!

Love this place. Great selection of all things music. Also, on a side note, one of my children is incredibly shy, so they offered him one of their practice rooms that wasn't occupied so that he could try out the guitars and basses without having a panic attack. That level of acknowledgment and consideration will bring us back!

I’ve never had any issues purchasing guitars or any other instruments, but when it came to needing warranty work the staff was so clueless and inexperienced. An employee told my finance who was dropping it off that I was basically stupid for wanting it corrected, and that they would never total the guitar for a “blemish.” First of all, blemishes are scratches not dents. The guitar had a two and a half inch dented spot which fell into a couple of the warranty guidelines. At the end of the day I was right it did get covered but any good employee should know better than to talk badly or a customer and tell them something won’t be corrected unknowingly. I have a lot of experience in the warranty field and it just was mind blowing how unprofessional this man was.
