First off total nightmare in regards to scheduling this and getting the proper price for my vehicle. The best price is online also if they do a terrible job on repairing your windshield and it doesn’t work their lifetime warranty doesn’t mean anything.
I needed up having to get my entire windshield replaced. The lady in the front office has some massive issues towards handling conflict. Be prepared for someone who is struggling to manage the power they hold. She approaches conflict instantly in a defensive and dismissive manner. Exactly how you are not supposed to approach conflict. The only saving grace is the service tech he messed up and tried to correct it. He was a nice guy she should learn from him and model his behavior. All in all I will never ever deal with safelight again horrible experience from start to finish.

Had my shield damaged by a city of saginaw truck when driving home. Was able to set up an appointment with them through my insurance easily. Was in and out. Good experience.

They don’t ever pick up the phone. Tried calling because of my last appointment. Apparently the technician ripped out the carbon fiber cable for my camera and now it can’t be recalibrated. So I’m calling to see when my next appointment will be for my new part and the calibration on Safelites part.

I received a quote from Safelite to replace my front windshield. They quoted me $395 just to recalibrate the safety systems in my vehicle. I reached out to another glass company in my area to get another price and they were only charging $200 for the recalibration. I then called my dealership to see how much they charge for recalibration and they only charged $180. When I told the mechanic at the dealership that Safelite was trying to charge me almost $400 for the recalibration, he literally laughed and said “holy crap.” When I called Safelite back, ai asked if they could price match with the dealership they told me the best they could do was bring it down to $275. Then I asked if it was possible for them to just do the windshield replacement and I would go to my dealership to have them do the recalibration the same day. The woman on the phone that I spoke to from Safelite was extremely rude and told me if I wanted the window replaced there I had to have the recalibration done there too. I canceled my appointment as soon as I got off the phone with them and went with the company that not only price matched with the dealership, but gave me an even bigger discount on the recalibration. I do not recommend Safelite at all. The guy who came out to replace my windshield from the other company said he used to work for Safelite but stopped working there because they price gouge people. Do not recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience today, August 17th, 2024, around 12 PM when I called regarding my appointment. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. My appointment was confirmed on my end, and I had been waiting all day, but no one showed up. When I called to find out what happened, I was told there was nothing they could do and that I would need to reschedule. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with a manager, the person hung up in my face. This is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.
