I wouldn’t trust them at all. They literally send your car back with more problems. The 4th time trying to depend on them fixing two different cars and they messed it up worse

Service that went above and beyond.Brendan and his staff have taken good care of my cars for many years and recently went above and beyond to get my problem resolved.I had to visit other shops for a popping sound in the passenger front area but they couldn't find the problem initially (Brendan is so busy that sometimes you can't get an appointment for many days). After mild worsening of the problem, I went back to that shop and they quoted a total service price of over 750.00 to replace a 530.00 part on the driver front side (btw, I found that authentic brand part online for less than half the price quoted). Because of the sides discrepancy and price, I decided to wait for my appointment at Autobahn where Brendan didn't think the quoted part needed replacement but he couldn't find/reproduce the popping noise. He called me to see if I could reproduce the noise on a short car ride and we did so he offered to lift the car back up for a second inspection. A couple of hours later I got a call from Autobahn that they did not find a specific problem, however, he thought a couple of things were not as tight as needed and he tightened them up free of charge! I also got an oil change and was on my way.Now one week later, the popping noise has not been heard again... great job! Many thanks to Brendan and his staff for your time, knowledge , and honest work ethic....most of all, thanks for continuing to take care of a long-time client.

Had to cancel appt. as vehicle was sold prior to actual service, but found Autobahn to be responsive and competitive pricing. Excellent to work with regarding scheduling, pricing and options and will definitely consider if future work is needed.

The battery in my BMW needed to be replaced ASAP. I called Autobahn Imports and Brendan was able to schedule me last minute. Brendan was very helpful and friendly. He walked me through the entire process and was able to get me back on the road in a few hours.I recently had surgery and being slightly disabled my car has become more important to me than normal and I really appreciate Brendan taking this into consideration and getting me in last minute. It really means a lot so thank you very much

My engine light was on, and I got it diagnosed at dealer that I should change one of glow plugs, so I sent my car here to replace them. While the light is still on after all the glow plus were replaced with new ones, then the mechanic told me it could be the problem of controller or the rubber of one glow plugs. They didn't give me a clear diagnosis report, but suggest me to change the controller, that might turn the light off. I just don't want to spend $700 more to make a bet.

Buyer beware!! There are red flags all over this business if you are willing to look for them. I've had them do numerous jobs from oil changes and battery swaps, to diagnostic work (good luck), to system flushes, and the takeaway is always the same. This business does not care about your personal property, nor do they care about getting the job done right. They fall short in very simple/basic business practices - If you want updates on the service being provided, its on you to check in; they call you to pick your car up minutes before closing; they didn't know the battery of my car was located under the seat (for a foreign auto mechanic?); the list goes on and on. Scanning the reviews, you can begin to see this is an on-going issue.Recently over the last three months (and three separate diagnostic attempts), I was charged $2500 to fix a temperature sensor - after the third attempt, they instructed me to go to the dealer as they had neither the tools, nor the knowledge to do the work needed. The mechanic basically misdiagnosed the issue from the beginning. Now, they've washed their hands of the situation but not before gladly accepting the money. Mind you by the third attempt, there was zero urgency to get my car in and fixed. I was told I would have to wait a minimum of two weeks before anyone could re-diagnose the issue. (great business practice btw)At the end of the day, this was a stupidity tax on myself for not seeing the red flags and not reading the reviews before hand. Simple procedures should be fine here, but anything serious - I would avoid like the plague.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I bought a used Volvo station wagon. I called around to local mechanics to put a new timing belt on my car. Autobahn gave me a good price and even put in a used coolant overflow tank that I bought off eBay. I was impressed and they were quick. But this shop messed up the powered steering hose. The car never leaked fluids until this shop fixed the car. Now I put $8 in power steering fluid every week and it promptly leaks out all over the garage. I did take it back in to the shop to have them fix it. They did not charge me for the repair, but they also did not fix the hose. It still leaks. Also before I took my car into this shop the air conditioner worked. Now it doesn't. I can only imagine how much this is going to cost. Thank you guys for effing up my used car. The repair was affordable, but it seems you did $3000 worth of damage to my car.If you are in the market for a mechanic that does more damage to your car than they repair then Autobahn Imports in St Joseph, MI is the shop for you.Oh, there is more. I asked them to flush the transmission and I don't know if they did it. The transmission still slips and when I picked the car up the check transmission light was still on the instrument panel.Service: Transmission

Brendan has both the skills and patience it takes to understand and repair these cars properly and efficiently. Being a German Car mechanic myself and isn’t the industry for over 20 years, it’s hard to trust anyone but I witnessed it first hand. But when when I was in need and unable to do anything myself, I turned to Autobahn. Thank God!People forget, fixing these kinds of cars isn’t cheap, no matter how old the car may be, and it’s never been easy. Thank you Brendan! You have an excellent team and run a proper shop. I was impressed.
