Dr. Ed is truly an incredible vet and wonderful person. He treated our epileptic dog for a number of years and was deeply familiar with her breed and some of the issues they’re prone to having. He also took care of our elderly cat with kindness. When it comes to end-of-life decisions and care, he is patient and compassionate. He communicates well and really helps you navigate what is otherwise a very traumatic and sad time. So grateful to have such an awesome vet in this area.

Unfortunately our Corgi mix was bitten by another dog while we were visiting St Joseph, Mi. He needed immediate vet care and we were referred to Dr. Blesy. We called his office at closing and he was so kind to stay and care for our dog who needed more then cleaning and bandages. He had to be sedated and stitched up. Dr. Blesy make us feel comfortable leaving our dog with a vet we never used. He truly did a wonderful job. Knowing our poor pup had enough stress the doctor realized he hated cages so he just let him roam until we arrived. Knowing we were away from home with an injured pet he could have charged us a lot more but he was fair and reasonable, also had the medication we would need to give him. We can't thank them enough. During Covid and curbside it was so nice to have the Dr come out and not a Vet Tech. Not that we don't love them but when your dog is injured the doctor is who you want to hear from. He was wonderful highly recommend Dr Blesy.

We were here recently for our first visit with this clinic. Dr. Blesy is great and very patient. He came outside to talk to me even though it was cold and did not rush through discussing her visit. My cat is special needs at this point and she requires a lot. He took my card inside and then he brought her out to the car. He called me the next day to discuss her blood results and treatment plan and again made plenty of time to thoroughly discuss her condition. I asked for the record to be sent to me and it was emailed right away. Overall, it was a good experience.

Bravo! They weren't our regular vet, but Our dog, Elliot was very sick and needed emergency care. He lost all function in his limbs and appeared to have a seizure. Our regular vet (Nickerson) said they didn't have time to see him. So we called and explained Elliot's condition to this vet and they said bring him in immediately!!! When we got there they already had our records from Nickerson and started examining Elliott right away. BOTH doctors ended up working on Elliott and determined that he needed to go to Grand Rapids emergency hospital immediately. Sadly, Elliott passed away in Grand Rapids, but I saw everything they did to figure out what he needed. They were gentle, thorough and kind and genuinely did everything they could possibly do. The staff was so friendly and understanding and loving. I appreciated that they tried to help even though they had never seen us before. I now have a new vet for any future pets we may have.

I just moved to the area and thought I would give this place a try. My pup had been sneezing a ton and I wanted to get it checked out. They were pretty busy so I had to wait a couple weeks for an appointment that would fit my schedule. But my pups sneezing got worse. The St Joe Animal Wellness Clinic was very flexible and got me a new appointment time for that same day. After discovering he would need minor surgery they put me on an expedited waitlist and my pup was recovering in no time. After the surgery, the vet showed me before and after pictures, X-rays, and explained everything to me. He also called that evening to make sure my pup was comfortable and doing ok. The staff is all very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this veterinary clinic!

I had to put my best friend of 14 years bear dog to sleep this past weekend due to cancer. Dr Ed was very kind and caring in my time of need. He performed the procedure at my home. Thank you Dr. Ed!
