I'm updating a review. I have really debated submitting this bad review. I hate to ever do any harm to a local small business. I am submitting this as constructive criticism to the management/owners. I realized that our last experience, albeit nearly a year ago was so discouraging we have not been back since. I'm not so sure I would have called ourselves regulars, but we were regular enough to always be recognized by our server. We came in on a Saturday after the dinner rush. Somehow our ticket was lost and more than an hour into waiting our server bad to resubmit it and was extremely apologetic. Then more than an hour and a half after we had placed our order, in a now empty tavern, a very burnt pizza came out. Again our server was extremely apologetic, but by now, totally famished, my wife said it was fine. She wanted to eat something. We ate the 2 least burn pieces. The next least burnt piece was inedible. Again our server was apologetic, asked if we wanted any of the leftover (2/3) of the pizza to go. We pointed out that it is comepletly inedible. She said she would see if we could get it discounted. She came out with the bill and said management would only let her take 15% off the pizza. For a pizza we only ate 66% of and shouldn't have ate 75% of. We literally left hungry and ate at home. Really what should have happened when the burn pizza came out after waiting such a long time, would have been to say. Please, eat what you can of this while I have another made for you. Instead feeling frustrated with our experience we have not been back since. I know we are prabably not even missed. But I think it was a strange choice to give a $4.50 discout on a $60 bill. It was clear our server was even embarrassed by that discount. But, she should prabably been the one who should have insisted on making a better pizza. That choice has prabably cost you a $1000 a year in gross revenue from us for several years. Maybe that is a drop in the bucket. I don't know.

Stopped here after the Saline Spring Craft Show and got one of the last tables. In spite of how busy it was, our server was attentive and we had only a short wait for our food. The perch basket was really good, with three generous perch filets, panko shrimp, hush puppies, fries and cole slaw. My only complaint was the tiny cup of slaw. I wish it had been a bigger portion. If you like local craft beer, they have a good selection of local varieties on tap!Parking: We parked in the public lot behind Salt Springs Brewery in one of the last available parking spots. It was peak dining time on a Saturday.

They had a nice beer selection, and our server was very nice. She was prompt and checked on our needs.I was disappointed in my Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. When I've ordered this at other restaurants, it has always been a chicken breast. This sandwich was made up of what looked like two formerly frozen breaded chicken patties. However, the others in our party were pleased with what they had ordered (Irish Sliders, a burger, and a brisket sandwich).

I have been to Dan's tavern many times as I live In saline. They have a fair beer selection and a good sized menu with elevated bar food and good burgers. The service is good if you sit at a table but if you sit at the bar the service is very poor. Numerous times I have been seated at the bar and cannot get service. Waiting 30 minutes with an empty beer glass in front of you is not acceptable anywhere. And if you wish to play club keno or pull tabs good luck getting them cashed out. The bar staff seem to be too busy washing glasses, bussing tables, and making drinks for all the patrons seated at tables to take care of the people sitting at the bar right in front of them. Maybe Dan should hire more bartenders or more staff in general. Good service matters.Dan, your response below is unprofessional, and most importantly wrong. I was respectful for the first 1.5 hours that your bartender ignored me and my wife, our drink orders and pull tabs. I was short with her after she refused to cash me out so that I could leave. I never raised my voice or used any vulgarity with her. And the police did show up but you'd think if I had done anything wrong they might have escorted me out or arrested me but they didn't. Because I was only guilty of getting terrible service.

Had a good time there. My friends had a 60th bday party here. The food was delicious and the customer service was OUTSTANDING! A1 waitresses. Smiling, getting to know our tables and doing an awesome job at it! First time here and won't be the last. Nice job Dan's Tavern.

Ordered a grilled cheese and chili combo. Took 40 minutes. When it got to me chili and sandwich were cold. Not one of my best experiences here.

Good consistent tavern food. Good burgers, pizza and I like the bbq pork grilled cheese. I wish they would bring back the waffle fries as their regular fries are ok but not memorable. Maybe add tater tots if you can't get waffle fries. The wings are a good size but i wish they were tossed in sauce rather than just getting sauce on the side. I often sit at the bar to eat and sometimes the bar tenders are too focused on chatting with each other that it is hard to get their attention especially mid-afternoon when it is slower. Be aware they charge an extra 3-3.5% if you use a credit card. In the winter they close the front door to the primary dining room because of cold air but the front door that is usable has steps which is not handicap accessible and the front parking is significantly closer when a spot is open.I enjoy the place and return often but there is room for improvement. I'm very glad they open for lunch 7 days a week.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp in the back but their is no access from the front in the winter with the door to the primary dining room closed.

Salads at a bar on a Sunday are usually ill advised. Good greens, but other components... Ehhhh. Solid burger. Great beer list. Stellar service!

dinner after work. hubby had a double smash burger with loaded fries and I had a side salad with chicken strips. we split some pretzel bites with cheese. food was fresh and tasted very good. service was fast efficient and friendly. part of the location was reserved for a party but there was still ample space for all of us other patrons to eat and relax with ease.

Best burgers in the area. Try the Peanut Butter burger, it is so delicious. I also love the stuffed jalapeños. We always have friendly service here!
