When they took over TCF Bank, Huntington Bank stole my savings account money and I tried several times fighting for it back and then got no help and no call! I don't recommend them!

Unlike a few National big banks, Huntington will not deposit a check made out to my husband and me, and endorsed by my husband and afterwards me, into my account. Typically an endorsed check is the same as cash. That’s why you wait until you go to the bank or are at the bank to sign the back. Not at this branch though. I called my husband who said we could go in together the next day and just cash it, to which the response was, that they did not have enough cash and it would be a few days or a week or something. I’m sorry but what bank doesn’t have 10k cash? Maybe they’d have to go to the vault but that’s just weird. I have often gotten a thousand in cash for places that charge a credit card fee. Anyway, a big national bank had no issues depositing it into my account. I didn’t want to waste yet another day trying to deposit this government check, so I made my husband go with me to Ann Arbor. They laughed that I brought him. Said it was completely unnecessary as long as I had an account with them and it was endorsed by him and then by me. It’s this sort of unusual protocol at Huntington that makes me give them a 2 star review. At least go with typical banking protocol. Also their bill pay is very slow. For ACH transactions, you have to do it 3 days before it’s due. So again, I use another bank for bill pay because I often pay the day before. We have been very old customers at this bank from when it was TCF and their policies make you feel like you are untrustworthy. Not a nice feeling. Especially when contrasted with at least 4 other banks nearby.

Opened an account at this branch today, despite the bad reviews. We had a great experience opening our account with Sam! He was friendly, professional, and made the process a breeze.

Give me problems everytime I come here would not recommend to anyone. The Tecumseh branch is way better.

(By reading the other comments I think it was probably the manager.) The ATM was down and I had to go inside. I didn't have an ID on me.... I asked her to ask me any question about my account to verify its me. She wasn't sure what to do so she went to ask another women, assuming the manager. She then told the lady helping me very rudly and loud, I don't care what you do for her, I'm not going to argue with anyone today. I told them both any other bank I have gone into never asked for an ID they have the machines on the counter you put your card in and your pin for your account. She then wanted to argue with me saying no they don't banks don't have those just credit unions. Ummmm no Huntington does all over in Lenawee and Jackson County. She then said loudly and in front of the other customers I don't know how you expect to pull that much out of the ATM when the limit is only 500. I then had to explain to her how you can call and have your daily limit raised. I couldn't believe she still wanted to argue with me about it and she wouldn't just help her own customer in her walk up window she was all in my business at a totally different window. I will never bank in saline again. I never had a problem with Huntington until coming to saline.
